An early access game that really means EARLY access. The game is pretty barebones as of launch day, with just a handful of cars and tracks. Based on what is there at present this feels like work-in-progress towards a refinement of the first game, which personally is exactly what I would have wanted from a sequel.

The game looks great and runs pretty well without the need for any DLSS or FSR, though FSR is available under AA settings. For reference, running at 1440p with the Ultra preset on a 4070 Ti, I'm getting 70 fps in the worst conditions, with no hitches or stuttering. The game is pretty buggy at present but that is to be expected.

Both cosmetic and mechanical damage to the cars is improved, with suspension and engine damage affecting your cars performance. Tyres can go flat as well as fall off completely.

The game also already has functioning multiplayer (after a patch) which is great fun to jump into.

Overall I'd say if the lack of content bothers you, give it some months and see what's added to the game. As a big fan of the first game though, I think there's already some good fun to be had here.

Never really been a fan of the Warhammer 40K series, but to me this has the stink of a cheap cash-in.

Story mode may or may not be interesting to those well versed in the series' lore, but to me it was rather dull. Competitive multiplayer seems unbalanced. And co-op while fun for a little while has its problems and becomes stale rather quickly, made worse by difficulty not scaling for the number of players and dying often while waiting for a fancy animation to finish (animations which can't be cancelled out).

There are far worse games out there but I honestly couldn't recommend this one.

Supposedly vastly improved compared to how it once was, but based on the number of glitches I've encountered in a short space of time, and the garbage AI, there's still a lot this game needs to improve upon.

I wouldn't recommend this game as it is right now, but the developers seem committed and, given time, this could prove to be a very solid game.
