a very enjoyable early access game! you can tell the devs are passionate about their game and they update it very often as they work towards a full release. it's charming and fun, offering good challenges and enough variety that it practically already feels like a full game. in my opinion, it is worth the $8 it costs currently. even if they never fully released it.

some people will whine about all the "balatro clones" but i think those folks don't realize that pixel-art roguelike games existed before balatro. there is very little that this game has in common with balatro.

if the screenshots and trailers look interesting to you, just spend the $8 and experience the charm and fun for yourself!!

a "cozy" clicker game for the modern era.

the aesthetics and messaging are incredibly nostalgic, bringing me back to the first time i watched An Inconvenient Truth (2006) and sobbed for hours afterward. the gameplay is straightforward and feels more like a resource management vibe than a clicker game, truly. it is absolutely worth the very small price tag it has and it feels like a labor of love.

i would have liked some (dare i say?) achievements and maybe some specific challenges to entice us into endless mode.

i do love that the conclusion of the story is open-ended and lets you have your own theories. if you liked this messaging, i recommend Tonight We Riot.

am i a joke to you, coin crew games??? you list this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game as "cross-platform multiplayer", so i prepare to play it with my cross-platform partner. we launch. we cannot join each other's game session. i google it. I COME TO FIND OUT YOU LAUNCHED THIS GAME IN 2022 AND THEN UPDATED IT LAST SUMMER AND HAVE YET TO MAKE IT CROSS-PLATFORM BETWEEN PS5 AND PC????????????????? HELLO????????????? you shouldnt be able to market this as crossplay iF YOU DONT HAVE CROSSPLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 0/10 STARS

the base game takes about 5 hours if you want to get max stars on each level. it's adorable with a cute art style, rewarding sound effects, and minimalist gameplay. genuinely enjoyable!! well worth the $15 bucks it normally costs.
