Go figure, make a good game and then put a beautiful character in it, and it sells well. Eat ♥♥♥♥ concord.

Demo review -

Survivor type games can be very tricky to balance. A little too easy and they're too boring. A little too hard and they're frustrating. Unfortunately the demo for Apocalypse survivors falls on the latter end of that range. I've played a lot of these types of games so I feel confident judging them. The attack range on the zombies is off. First of all they run at you, and they run FAST. This makes them not feel like Zombies. Zombies should be slow, plodding, and legion. That's what makes zombies scary. The mobs in this game don't look or feel like zombies, so this game misses on the 'tone'.

Further not only do they 'run' at you, making dodging basically impossible, but their attack range is WELL outside of their perceived unit box. While it's fine for the hero of a survivors game to have an attack reach that is unrealistic, it isn't ok for the horder to also do so. There were many times that I took hits even though I was half a unit's distance away from the swiping 'claws' of the 'zombie'.

Give this one a pass, it's not worth the download time.

This game is an 'almost' worth it purchase.

If there were more options available to the players when creating the game or server, I think I could recommend this one. The game as it stands is a 3d tower defense game. It's not a survival crafting game like rust or conan exiles, which is what I was hoping it would be like. The entirety of the game play loop focuses around building base defenses during the day so that your tower defense game happens during the night.

This might be ok if the game settings allowed you to change things like gather rate, stamina usage, crafting costs, difficulty curve, etc. But the very limited options let you tweak the game play loop but just not enough.

It's not a bad game, and if you want to play a game that focuses on tower defense, give it a shot if it's on sale. But otherwise I'd avoid this one.

This is brotatolike / survivor style done right. The multiplayer is very fun. I just wish there were a few more map options. But maybe soon!

Mild and Milder.

Take Dark and Darker and strip away it's gritty dark aesthetic and run it through a 'world of warcraft' filter on an AI image generator and you'd get something like this. That in itself might be all right. Some people might like that vibe and aesthetic. But the problem is that it doesn't 'feel' right somehow. The controls and the way it plays feels too floaty. The creatures telegraph their attacks strangely and blocking and dodging feels odd. It just feels off. I'm going to give this one some more time to bake, maybe it will be better in another year or two.

Just spent about 2 hours in the Demo and now I can't wait to pick up the full release. It's a really fun and relaxing chill mining game. Highly recommend anyone checking this one out if it seems interesting to you.

Vampire survivors with a diablo 2 aesthetic. love it.

elemental gunplay, roguelike progression, and smooth satisfying fps combat. Oh, and multiplayer. GG.

While it's only the demo, I really enjoyed the single run I played. The difficulty amped up nicely for an old man with 'old' fingers and reflexes like me, and honestly when I did lose, I felt like it was my own damn fault. The looter shooter mechanic was a lot of fun and the stealth at the start mechanic was an interesting take on things. I'd buy the full game right now if it was available.
