What a strange combo this game is. One part rogue dungeon crawler, one part dance dance revolution. Yet, somehow... it works. This is a game where you have to focus on maintaining the right beat, to catchy techno style hits that somehow do nothing to detract from the fantasy environment of a dungeon crawler. Hard to explain, and I admit I'm not very good at it, but I absolutely enjoyed it.

A minimalistic puzzle game with simple graphics, easy to understand controls and goals, and yet a surprising amount of depth. While this game takes a little too long to get challenging, it’s very worth it once you get past level 30 or so. Hang in there and you’ll find yourself quite entertained with this low priced gem.

This game was a surprise to me. The first thing that caught me was the graphics, they are clean and elegant and fit the theme of the game very well. The next thing was the surprising depth of the game. You see Into the Void is a mobile app that has been ported over to the PC. Because of this I wasn't expecting much from it, having had bad experiences in the past with iOS or android ports. I doubted that a 4x style game designed for mobile could hold my attention on the PC, especially considering the user interface, which is very obviously designed for mobile, and a limited 4 sets of resources. But this game surprised me with a rather deep ship building and management system that really allows you to customize your fleet.

Certainly the game's mobile roots show through, with most options being hidden over to the edges of the screen, and with buttons that are more akin to thumb or finger pressing then a mouse. In addition the necessary simplicity does show through at times. Yet, through it all, I find myself coming back to play this game again and again, several times, despite having other games sitting in my library waiting to be played.

The biggest flaw this game has, is the monumental learning curve at the beginning of the game. The game doesn't give you much in the way of tutorial, simply describing what some options are and letting you go. But even this isn't insurmountable, and there is no punishment for replaying old missions to farm materials so that you can try out new strategies and build up your forces.

Is this a perfect game? No, far from it. However it is a very good game, and well worth the price if you want a medium depth 4x sci fi romp.

What can I say about this game that isn’t in the description? Unique twist indeed! The legendary heroes have failed to stop the evil emperor, and now the whole world feels the aftermath of the end of the world. You play in this RPG maker JRPG style game as minor characters, bit players, even monsters, and chickens, playing out your tiny bit of drama in this setting.

I’ve played quite a few RPG maker titles, and OH! RPG! is a shining gem, worth double the price they are asking for it and one that shouldn’t be passed over. The artwork is spot on, scripting is ingenious, and game play that is executed very well. All in all, you know what you’re getting into when you step into the shoes of OH! RPG! Yet, it’s an enjoyable experience for certain.

The ability to replay chapters adds another layer of depth and replayability, and for the price, I would not pass this one over if you’re looking for a JRPG. Note that I received a free copy of this game in exchange for my honest review. However that being said, the day I recieved the free copy, I had almost bought it anyways, and for the price, wouldn't have regretted that purchase at all.

I love the idea of this game, but the implementation leaves a lot to be desired. I can not recommend this game.

Cosmonautica does a lot of things right, unfortunately it does several critical things wrong. The humor, the graphics, the sound, the visuals are all spot on and to be admired. It's a fun game to get into. But once you do, and get a little bit into the game, the flaws begin to show through and severely limit your ability to play.

The biggest flaw I came across was a severe lack of balance and difficulty. This is a simple change that could be fixed with the addition of a difficulty slider. See, when you have a game where you trade for credits, that economic model needs to be spot on. Unfortunately even if you do everything 100% correct, the profit margins on trading are razor thin.

In two hours of play, making only positive trades, I barely was able to re-attain the amount of capital (20k credits) I started the game with as seed money. Another hour and a half later and I was still only around the 30k. Now on it's own, this might be acceptable for some. A game where you have to micromanage razor thin profit margins and grind out credits might be acceptable. But this was all while I was making perfect trades and always turning profit. If you take a loss, at any time, it's absolutely devastating. After 3.5 hours play I got stopped by a cop and had a 15% chance of getting caught. RNG came up and I got caught. This caused me to fail my current quest, which penalized me credits, lost all my cargo, and was banned from that world for 15 days. The effects of this were absolutely devastating to my game, knocking me down well below the 20k mark just to get to a new planet, refitted, and get a new hold of cargo. IE one random chance event, that could only happen 3 out of 20 times, and I'd lost around two hours of gameplay.

The further issue in the game is in the absolutely horrible combat system. You run out of ammo FAR too quickly, far more quickly than you can possibly take out even the weakest of pirates. Forget about harder difficulty ships, you don't stand a chance. Ramming doesn’t even work, because the AI can avoid you forever.

I think Cosmonautica has the potential for a good game, but it feels like an unfinished beta at this point. I would HIGHLY recommend against buying this game at the current state it's in. (v1.2)

Buy it.

While it's a much faster pace than than any old pac man game I've played, the theme stays the same. It's a fun twist on the old classic and one I've found myself dumping quite a few hours into.

Pixelated Tower Defense done very well!

If you like TD games, this one is worth the price of admission. Charming pixel graphics lend well to the ultraviolence of dart, spike, and push traps, along with all the other fun tricks you'd expect. The inclusion of a 'rune' system allows you to increase the difficulty on a given level, letting you enjoy it with a fair bit of replayability. The music is a touch on the flat side, but the sound effects are spot on. It's quite satisfying to hear a peasant fall to his death after your pusher trap shoves him into a pit.

Looking forwards to spending more time on this one, glad I bought it.

Early Access -arvostelu
What a fun little game!

Ok, so this game is in early access. So because of this, as I write this review, it's very unfinished. There's currently only one 'zone' that you can play on. But what I see is a great start.

The basic premise is a board game mixed with a card game. The best way I can describe it is if you took Blizzard's hearthstone card game and combined it with a board game. You play your minions on the board and travel around the board in opposing directions from your enemy. When you land on a square you encounter any minions or effects on that square, be they good or bad.

I look forwards to future updates.

I've been playing MMOs since everquest in 1999, and MUDs on BBSs before that. I've beta tested and played more MMOs then I can count without sitting down and taking the time to think about it, but at least a few dozen. So take it as a massive compliment for TSW when I tell you that this game has some of the greatest features in any MMO I've ever played.

Is TSW a perfect game? No, the game play can get a little rough at times, and the character builder feels quite flat. But it has by far the best story of any MMO I've ever played, rivaling many triple A solo games stories. The atmosphere of modern horror is perfect without resorting to cheap scares, but instead weaving a tale of Lovecraftian horror and survival, all with the backdrop of major political forces moving in the background. The 'leveling' system is by far one of the best and most original that I've ever seen in an MMO, eschewing traditional 'levels' and 'classes' in favor of a more free form system of upgrading skills and items to build a unique character. In addition this is one of the most beautiful games I've ever played, and by far the best looking MMO of anything I've ever seen. Top all of this off with the fact that you buy the game once and play it for free, no subscription fee, and this game is a no brainer.

I'd reccomend springing for the ultimate edition for the extra few bucks, you'll get a TON more content, and odds are once you start playing, you'll fall in love with it the same way I did.
