Early Access Review
So, just finished the early access content of Subverse, the lewd game that the picture above is from. 6 hours to complete the early access and I have to say it was actually kind of fun. I suck a whole bag of ♥♥♥♥♥ at SHUMPS so i wasn't very good at it, and wished there was a difficulty slider. But the comedy was there, the gameplay was good, it reminded me a lot of mass effect games in general, but with a southpark esque raunchy comedy and of course a lewd slant. 7/10 will play again when done with EA.

Bonus points given for "Dim Fool" character and reference to my favorite beanie wearing podcaster.

I've been playing the Metal Gear series since the original on the NES, and this is one of the best in the franchise. The plot pingpongs between the ridiculous and the realistic, but by this point in the franchise that's to be expected. The gameplay mechanics are tight, and as expected stealth is the order of the day. While some of the base building and gear upgrading mechanics can be annoying, they aren't too bad. Though I will admit the deployment costs based on your chosen gear is highly annoying (but managable).

In any regard, I've really enjoyed my time with TPP and would recommend it to anyone who hasn't picked it up yet.

Early Access Review
As a disclaimer, I should state that not only did I receive this game for free, but I also have very little experience in SHUMPs
(anyone remember 1942 in the arcade? That's my experience level heh). You know how it is, some games just aren't your personal style. So when asked to review this game I was a little hesitant, knowing my lack of experience or interest in SHUMPs.

But once I got into the game, I found that the experience was quite enjoyable. Actually my first play didn't go too well, but then I plugged in a controller and turned the difficulty down one notch to 'easy' and I found myself flying through space blasting away baddies as if I'd been playing SHUMPS for ages.

The controls for the game are very tight and I found the 'drift' feature an interesting little twist on what I remember from SHUMPs. Between levels the ability to upgrade and customize your fighter was a nice twist, and I could imagine that if I was into these styles of games, as I got more into the game, I'd really appreciate the customizability of the between level shops.

I ended my playthrough at level three, and have to say the highlight was the ‘boss battle’ of level two. The tactics of the npc boss really made it feel like I was fighting in some sort of space based dogfight with a similarly powered ship.

All told, I would recommend this game, as long as you enjoy SHUMPs. Would I see myself playing this game again? Possibly, I enjoyed my time with it that’s for certain. For under $10 USD? Worth the value for certain.

I was amazed at how much I enjoyed this game.

What I thought was going to be a silly anime cooking game actually had a good amount of match 3 strategy, light JRPG action combat, and visual novel type anime gameplay. I played it for a few days on my twitch stream and found myself enjoying it immensely, to the point where the time limit on the puzzle battles had me legit sweating and had my heart racing.

Oh, and it's absolutely beautiful.

Early Access Review
Quickly becoming one of my favorite survival / crafting games. Not because it's deep or complex, but because of it's simplicity, it's beauty, and it's sheer joy to play. Even in early access, this is a must buy game for fans of the genre in my opinion.

It's like Factorio, but low rez.

That doesn't make it bad at all that makes it genius in it's simplicity.

Early Access Review
This is a potentially amazing game, it's just not ready yet.

I've played it for nearly 6 hours as of the time of writing this review, and let me tell you, I've actually enjoyed my time with it. Kind of. I'd give the game a solid 5 out of 10 right now. But the potential is there. It seems like a really solid base to a game, but that's just it, the base. It does several things, but none of them very solidly. Dungeons are a single straight line with no variation and are very uninteresting. Mob AI is practically non existent. Sounds in the game alternate between fantastic (BGM) and horrific (chickens clucking). Finally not all translations are done, and some of the translations are a bit nonsensical.

I think this could be a fantastic game with some more development, but right now I just wouldn't recommend it to others. It's just not ready. If you can enjoy what the game offers as an Early access stage, it is a fun way to kill some time. But if you get frustrated with EA, and obviously unfinished games, just wait and check it out in a year.

I love deckbuilder games and this is a different twist on those. Instead of building a deck, you never actually increase your deck size, but instead modify the actual cards inside your deck. I spent an evening playing online with a friend and have spent several hours since playing solo. A lot of fun and quite mentally challenging.

I thought about writing a very long and in depth review, but instead ill keep it simple and compare it to another of my favorite games. If you've ever played Stellaris by Paradox Interactive, and thought "I love this game, but sometimes it's a little too much for a casual gaming session." Then MOO is for you.

The concept of grand 4x space gameplay is here, and it's just deep enough to be engaging without being overwhelming. This is the perfect game for me to play while the kids are in the next room, or you're 'watching' netflix, or just in general have your attention split.
