Cthulhu Saves the World is a parody RPG where you get to play as Cthulhu and drive your enemies insane.

If that and the cheap price tag weren't enough to convince you to buy and play this now, keep reading:

The gameplay of Cthulhu Saves the World is based on classic JRPG mechanics such as random encounters and turn based battles. However this is mixed with more modern design elements to proved an improved, compact, experience. Battles can move very fast with minimal time wasted on attack animation and a very quick and responsive interface. There is also the combo system to add an extra layer of depth to your decisions in combat. Plus each area in the game limits the total number of random encounters, so you won't be stuck in an easy area forever if you have bad luck (There is also includes an option to force encounters in case you feel the need to grind past the limit).

This parody RPG is filled with humor in its dialogue and enemy/monster description which will keep you entertained between battles. The game will only be around 5-7 hours for a normal play through, so if you want a classic JRPG type experience but don't have the 50-100+ hours to spend on a more traditional game, this is a great alternative. However, if you want to keep playing there are several alternate modes such as the score attack mode to test your skill, or the Highlander and Cthulhu's Angels modes to provide different experiences.

If you liked Breath of Death VII you'll probably love this, and even if you didn't, you may still enjoy Cthulhu Saves the World due to its improvements in mechanics and visuals.
