GAME IS DEAD

Tried to make a robocraft 2 couldn't implement simple multiplayer features that were high priority for 6 months+ now claiming they are going to rebuild RC1 but cant even get the basics of multiplayer gaming standards from 20 years ago

"6 months of no party system while having that as a "TOP PRIORITY" they just want to talk about it instead of be about. I'm not sure to what end. Could be the dev team bit off way more then they could handle. Could be milking any investors to show good faith effort and pay themselves out as salary before dissolving. Might be that they are trying to stave off some % of refunds with the promise of some later payoff.

They spent a long time talking about MTX sales and they would "ask steam" how refunds might work in the announcement but dont do it get 3x your money later nonsense instead of answering real questions. Probably gonna use this nonsense to claim they tried and just bank what they can of people that failed to notice and request or get tricked.


Game was really janky but fun in closed testing. Missing basic standards such as ways to play with your friends made the absurd decision to lock quality of life building tools behind grinding.

Game ends closed testing and instead of the most requested features like a party system or way to play with friends, more game modes, building tools not locked behind grind we get a tab to buy 79 dollar cash shop bundle.

Good luck with this pile! Looks like another case of way to many artists and not enough people to implement basic functions of an online game.

Steam already has alot of solutions implemented. Instead of reinventing the wheel to be able to disconnect from the steam API you should really utilize what exists and works to make a functioning game before worrying about steams cut of imaginary micro transactions.

No one cares about action plans they care about results. An action plan is something you use internally as a company to deliver not post to the consumer.

Effective action plans include strategy, check points, and most importantly time frames

All I see on this "action plan" is guys it might be hard it might take months??? who knows but we read all the reviews and will eventually maybe do something.

Pretending basic multiplayer features like parties or lobbies is some shocking revelation when it was constantly asked about in alpha is a really bad look imo.

The balancing get pretty wild as they have added more modern things over the years. Could really benefit from ranking decompression. Over the years results rewards have moved to far from skill gated and performance gated to simply time gated.

The requirement to spend time in matches to progress instead of making directly correlate to results make everyone seem really sluggish and uncoordinated.

Higher tiers players will play a single premium vehicle and then leave the match since the vehicle used matters more then results. Lopsided starts to a battle just become instant one-sided as half the team leaves the match. Which makes trying to win as a team feel like something that is actively punished further fueling the cycle. To the point where players tend to peek or hold a choke point far behind the objective instead of playing them.

It's just abusing the fact that blender is open source to pretend to have made a powerful ship editor. They have no gameplay loop and nothing to do with the ships that matters.

Devs confirmed all development is stopped but still list it for sale as early access??? Stated early access sales were not enough to fund development but steam states EA should not be used to fund development. Pretty much a scam save your money.
