It has Battlefield in the name but it's nothing like the previous games.

So far, it's true, I've been "playing" this game for at least 107 min, genius distribution of making you download an installer that would then download multiple small packages where the speed resets every time it starts a new package. Goes for 3-5Mbits/s then if it's large enough it will climb up by steps to 50Mbits/s then 100Mbits/s then to 209Mbits/s max. A little pause icon will appear next to XXXX.fspackageXX and randomly where the speed is displayed it will say "please wait". I know I'll actually be using the simulator but for the people who don't really know what flight sims are like they have no chance to refund it especially if you don't have an M.2 and 1gigbit down speed like me. One thing to pretend to care about being tracked while using a computer and probably a phone but it's another thing to make me spend two days downloading a game when Steam could have easily handled the download, weird to even let it be on the shop like this. The more reasons to make people sail the high seas, even just to try it out and then purchase it if you like it.

Freezes randomly and often enough to make very little progress. Reinstalled drivers, C++ Redist., the game, restarted, checked integrity, changed launch options, GPU scaling.

Game play goes something like this for me: Start game, walk around looking for resources, find a building, walk around looting, freezes. Reload, loot same building again, freezes, reload at entrance of building, loot again, freezes, reload to same spot, repeat. So I now scavenge for maybe 2 minutes because it might freeze 5-30 mins and I want to move around a little outside of my spawn area. Requested refund at 4.9hours, denied because it was over 2 hours RIP :'( Gonna get my moneys worth now but would not recommend.

If you like arcade racing games with kind of realistic physics and some vehicle tuning and customization, you'll like this game. Horizon Solo is fun, lots of diverse type of events and jokey stories, AI isn't too bad either, kind of funny at times. There's also a huge variety of cars to drive.

The worst part about this game is the online, it's super slow between rounds, people smash into you if they're not ghosted, certain season prizes are locked behind online games, sometimes they're not bad, but usually are just frustrating. The second worst part is the vehicles that you can't buy in game but have to win by chance or hope that there's a seasonal event that allows you to win said cars, basically just have to gamble your time and hope that you get one of the OP cars early on. A great example of how this is bad is they recently had a toyota cars only race, anyone with one of the hard to get cars easily dominating the race over the 3 toyota cars available to buy.

Also you need a microshaft account to play.
