Having 30 hours into this game, I can say that I really enjoy it.
Though the game had some problems during release (and still do), the game is still really fun.
Sure, the game gets repetitive, like you do the same thing over and over again. But it pays off as the story unfolds.
You meet a lot of interesting characters, including Vito Scaletta from Mafia 2. You learn of Joe's fate if you play your cards right.
The 30 fps issue at launch has been fixed, and I think It's really unfair that the game got a lot of negative reviews because of that. The devs fixed the issue 2 days after launch, so they listened to us, unlike many other devs.
Now I'm not saying that we should look past this. I saw a review that said that we shouldn't let developers release a game with such major issues, because the devs will take notice and continue releasing broken games, and still earn money doing so. That is true. But Hangar 13 took notice to our frustration and fixed the issue right away.
They have a lot of plans for this game, including 3 major expansion which I am really looking forward to.
The game has a lot of graphical bugs. Blurry and washed out textures. It feels really weird at the start of the game, but you will adjust quickly. The game is not very well optimized. I run 58 fps on a GTX 960 on the lowest quality, which is a shame. Comparing that to GTA V for example, which I can run at max with around the same fps.

But in the end, I recommend this game for the story. It's quite the journey, and I will promise you if you look past doing the same stuff over and over again, you will enjoy this game to the full.
