Everything I could have wanted from a House Flipper sequel. A lot of love and care went into this game and it shows. Once it gets the HF1 DLC remastered, it'll be amazing

Animal Crossing meets Australia. Aside from the fire-breathing wombats it's rather accurate.

Ever wanted to bring monuments back to their former glory? This game gives you a taste of that. It's repetitive and tedious, but that's how restoration is IRL. There are gameplay conveniences, but they're only there to stop you spending several hours doing the same thing over and over again. The final release added the final three jobs and shows that even after years in early access; this developer still cares about the game they made.

This game was abandoned in early access and abruptly called released four years after the last update with no evidence in game of the new release status. It sucks that this is abandonware because there is absolutely potential here. And they even have the gall to advertise "CHAPTER_3" as available soon when it will most likely never be released. I have completed all the "content" and the final aircraft is so poorly done that parts are mislabled, not aligned, or even following nonsensical dissasmbly order, not to mention the blatantly unfinished texture work.

It's so satisfying to watch large chunks of the ship hull getting lifted away from the rest of the ship. And be careful when setting up big implosions, you need to clear a level of all crane cargo before destroying anything below it, and those often have very valuable and rare resources that the contracts demand.

Or you can just throw caution to the wind and knock everything down at once either by destroying connectors manually or placing explosives. It's all up to you, and that's the whole point of these games. There is no deadline, no pressure to do things quickly, just you, your tools, and scrap-to-be.

This is everything the original game needed. You can, and in some cases, have to poke holes in the ship for the crane to get through and grab those sweet materials. Transfer to truck is far more streamlined and readily available from a surprisingly long way away. It's easy to get lost in the process as you chew away at the ship and break it down ever further.

If this is the level of quality and improvement I can expect from a Games Incubator sequel; then I will probably end up buying a whole lot of them. This doesn't feel anywhere close to DLC; It's a complete rework of the core gameplay loop, streamlining and expanding it, undeniably for the better. Very interested to see the full game.

Stop reading this review and play this now.

The only way you can really appreciate the environmental storytelling of this game is to play it. I don't want to spoil it for you, but it's well worth it even at full price.

A very realistic firefighting simulator. It doesn't sugar-coat the realities of firefighting. Sometimes your callout will be a news stand, sometimes it will be a warehouse, or an office building, or a two-home complex. Sometimes you will need to use a fire extinguisher on a grease fire, quite often you will need to cut the power to prevent sparks from re-lighting fires.

Whatever the situation calls for, this game can simulate. And it does it really well.

You can tell they have actual firefighters working on this and it is all the better for it.

Aim for the base and beware the back-draft.

And you can play the whole thing by yourself or with up to three friends, every mission supports co-op, but if you don't have anyone to play with then just make sure to get to grips with directing the AI squadmates. They can do a lot on their own devices, but give them good directions and they become invaluable assets.

Early Access Review
Whatever you do in this game, it's all about making money. Transporting scrap vehicles and heaps to the large crusher for processing, loading scrap and renovation items into the truck, box truck, and cart for the market or the workshop, gathering car wrecks for the small crusher, gathering scrap metal for melting and casting into plates, or just wandering around and collecting assorted bits and bobs, everything can make you money.

It's very easy to find a gameplay loop to get sucked into here. They all revolve around collecting, processing, and selling, but if this is the kind of thing you want from a game, then there are far worse options.

If you've always wanted a glimpse into the highlights of the scrapper life, then this is the game for you.

A fun little exploration of the side of restoration that is often ignored; The memories intertwined with the object. If you have a couple of hours to spare and want to repair a few things and a few relationships along the way, then this is the game for you!
