Massively overrated. Dull intro. Bad storytelling structure. Uninteresting characters.

The more I play it the less I like it.

If you played the original Dark Souls, this is basically the same but "open world." I don't know why people praise this game as if it was something revolutionary. Is it something new for the franchise? Yes. Is it something new for the gaming industry? No. It's just another Dark Souls, but with some open world mechanics. That's not a bad thing in itself. It's just that for me it's not cutting it. I played the previous Dark Souls endlessly, so playing Elden Ring feels like going through the same stuff again, but this time it's longer and the story telling is worse.

Story telling in the original Dark Souls was better. Our purpose as a player was clear. Even though we didn't know all the details, we had a good sense of what we were trying to accomplish and why it was important. But in Elden Ring, after 40 hours, and being level 100, I still don't know why I'm trying to become the Elden Lord, or what it even means to become one.

I don't care if Miyazaki and George RR Martin are behind it. That means nothing to me. I judge a product by the end result, not by the people who worked on it. And I don't think Elden Ring does a good job at story telling.

I feel this community is filled with people who praise these guys blindly, just because of who they are and what they did in the past. The fact so many players need to go to Youtube and watch some video form that guy Vatti or whatever his name is explaining the lore makes my point.

I'm not saying they should spoon feed me the story of every character, location, or event. I'm just saying that in the first 30 minutes of the game, they should be more concise about the main point of the story, what you're trying to accomplish, and why it is important.

Imagine a TV show that you can only understand once you reach season 9 after you've watched 100 episodes of 1 hours each. No one would watch that, that's not how the human mind works. Neither how good stories are told.

"Whys" are very important to make us care about things, and Elden Ring doesn't give us many.

The only things that kept me playing were the locations' atmosphere, and the gameplay. But the gamelpay becomes repetitive since the game is so long and does nothing new as you progress, except to add a bigger health bar to bosses and enemies. And the atmosphere stops being immersive after a few hours. You get used to it, and compared to previous Dark Souls it isn't that good.

I'm sure if you enjoyed the previous Dark Souls, you'll enjoy Elden Ring to some extent. But don't go in expecting a new game for your "Top 10 videogames of all time." Because that's what people make it seem like, and it's not.

It turns into an 8-bit game. What's shown in the images in the store page is only the first 1/3rd of the game. I hate 8-bit games. I'll try to get a refund.

La idea es buena, pero el juego es una basura, al igual que sus desarrolladores. 2/10
