Original impression: this game is a mash of elements from good games, but the result is somehow less than the sum of its components.

Steam didn't accept the refund so i gave this game another chance. In addition to the original sentiment, the graphics are still offputting but a matter of taste, the story is objectively degenerate and has no redeeming qualities, gameplay itself is inferior to similar games. The core mechanic of combining spells turned out ok though so flipping the thumbs here. The game's alright for ten bucks if you can stand the overall style and the ambiguity of a lot of the mechanics. Many spell descriptions are not clear, and understanding most interactions is a lot of trial and error, but that's also a matter of taste i guess.

dps simulator with somewhat vague mechanics

edit: changing the review to positive, there might be something to this game but it needs some work. performance improvements and some QoL things should make it pretty good. maybe tone down some of the grind early on so you get to unlock stuff and actually play the game before the 50 hour mark

one of the most interesting "survivor" games so far. Missing a few key features like showing which weapons each class gets, proper DPS breakdown, some visibility issues and other QoL things, but all in all looking forward to full release. 100%'d everything that's been released right now out of spite, but had fun down the road.
