It's the worst Dark Souls in terms of mechanics but I think this might be my favorite in terms of atmosphere. It's a dark fairy tale reminiscent of Studio Ghibli. The variety of environments makes it feel like a true journey throughout Drangleic. The build variety of your character is great too and caters to a lot of player styles. The level design in the base game has some really frustrating gimmicks but it improves a lot in the DLC content. Overall, I really love going through the world in this game even though the graphics are not as great as the others.
