Assj:Inflates your muscles but in vegeta's case your ego as well. Real talk though this is a ascended form of super saiyan using power stressing to gain more strength. This form is considered a inexperienced power up as the inflation of the muscles caused by this slows the user down which can allow similarly or slightly weaker powered foes to gain the upper hand.
Ussj: Ssj on gear. Natty or not? A further along version of ascended that is taken to its absolute limit. A massive muscle mass increase for power but a huge sacrifice of agility.
Mssj:A mastery of the super saiyan form that allows for greater power and more control over the emotions to the point where the usage and drain is so minimal that staying in the form for long periods of time is possible. The lack of a flared aura also allows for the form to stay at its highest power without draining over time.
Lssj:You literally sacrifice your brain for brawns. Brolys version of super saiyan literally causes him to explode into a more powerful version of himself. Besides the imposing appearance he has a virtually infinite supply of stamina and is constantly gaining strength almost as if he is obtaining zenkais from just existing in the form. The only counter is to simply be stronger then him at his current strength.
Ssj2:The form needing emotional trauma or intense training now just a tingly feeling in the back. Gohans signature, this form is a stronger version of super saiyan with a spikier haired look and a more menacing aura with electricity. Possibly the most useful form in Dragonball due to the fact that its a straight power increase with literally no drawbacks. Has been utilized on multiple occasions by multiple users to great effect despite the anime sometimes not representing the hair change properly which makes it difficult to distinguish from ssj but the electricity will give it away.
Ssj3: The saddest most overhyped form of all time. It came in for its moment and was already useless. Usually a form has a villain it has defeated. Ssj3 has done none of that. As soon as the buu saga was over this form fell to the wayside and super put the final nail in the coffin for this failure of storytelling. Besides the failures of its use Super saiyan 3 is very much a power increase above ssj2 with a far more imposing look. The hair has elongated significantly with the users eyebrows disappearing and the electricity turned to the max. This form was more than enough to completely overwhelm Fat buu but goku decided to let the next fools do the work and bounced.
Mystic/Potential Unleashed:"You cant win." When elder kai unlocked Gohans potential he completely skyrocketed pass everyone to the top of dragonballs power levels to the strongest unfused saiyan. Returning to earth he proceeded to dominate super buu in a fight that was more gohan playing around then anything. However, this ended up being his downfall, due to his arrogance gohan allowed buu to absorb gotenks which put them more on a even playing field with buu using far more crafty tactics to whittle away at gohans strength. The more embarrassing part is how easily gohan was flustered when confronted with a similar strength opponent and the fact that buu simply used mind games to keep gohan unfocused. Despite that Gohan was incredibly powerful in this form and it showed. However, his inability to adapt to a more competent opponent and almost pitiful ability to resist mind games puts him far below his father when it comes to fighting competence.
Lssj3:Strangely enough theres more brains to sacrifice and more brawn to achieve for broly.
Ssj4:"At long last I've ascended." aka the instant puberty transformation. Pants included. Honestly, Super saiyan 4 is peak dragonball. While gt was mediocre at best it introduced the best saiyan form of all time that in my opinion, completely eclipses the hair dye god transformations of super. Super saiyan 4 is everything a saiyan is which is primal, confident and above all strong. Not only that but I personally believe it to be a homage to the original dragonball due to it reintroducing the oozaru to acheive the form. It always irked me that the oozaru was just forgotten after z and there was just no point of using it anymore. The saiyans connection to the oozaru was a real threat to similar powered opponents as shown in the saiyan saga and was a massive power boost that some can access at will as long as they have a tail. Besides that Super saiyan 4 is achieved through a oozaru transforming into a super saiyan and regaining control or a "Human heart" This causes the oozaru to transform as the user regains control of their mind. The result is a saiyan connected to their very primal roots. The user has red fur over their body with their abs visible and their usual hair that is slightly elongated or "Wilder". This form grants immense power to the user and has little to no drawbacks. Compared to super saiyan 3, 4 has no issue with stamina and is able to be maintained with little to no effort by the user. Before attaining 4 goku couldnt even lay a dent on baby however, after obtaining it the powers became polar opposites with goku completely overwhelming baby with little effort.

Ssg: "So this is a super saiyan god... I never knew this level of power existed. "The god form that isn't quite so godly anymore. Despite the hair not changing and the name not making any sense. Super saiyan god was gokus first step into godhood which was honestly kinda boring. The form honestly had the most potential of dragon ball to be the actual pinnacle of what goku could achieve but once again dragonball super powercrept it into oblivion now its honestly another form in gokus large repertoire of forms. As far as we know the only useful thing this form does is passive regen which is CRAZY good for the only thing it has which kinda baffles me why goku doesnt always use this form and train in it so he can have that passive regen and not have to rely on blue to get more powerful. Also why not just saiyan god instead? It makes no sense considering gokus hair doesnt change. Why not just leave it at saiyan god and give the freaking tongue twister thats SUPER SAIYAN GOD SUPER SAIYAN the name.
Ssgss: The most inconsistent form in dragonball. Despite it being a leap above the original god form there's no actual concrete idea of its power so good luck with that dillema after watching goku lose to foes that probably shouldn't stand a chance even in his first god form.

Mssgss:Same philosophy as mastered ssj restricting the flow of aura to remain at full power. But in the case of blue also a severe drain on stamina. Was good enough for goku to utilize an imperfect form of hakai.

Ultra Instinct (Sign):initial form that goku used to tap into ultra instinct. Imperfect, but a massive power boost.
Ultra Ego: My boy Vegeta been catching some W's finally.
Mastered Ultra Instinct: Fully powered from for gokus ultra instinct form. Extreme power boost and virtually impossible to beat. Stamina is a immense drawback that prevents further use.
Perfected instinct: Not a form but more about mastery of the mind. Goku should eventually be able to use this without having to use a form. Also considered to be what the angels use.
