Game has a controller bug where it will not recognize wireless controllers at all. Makes the game completely unplayable as it will randomly apply the brakes and handbrake and remap random buttons to the map or pause menu.

The vibes are immaculate but there's tons of small annoyances that dampen them a ton.

-AI is stuck on rails but becomes extremely aggressive and crashes into you the second you're next to them, you cannot do anything to retaliate against this

-Because of the above there are no close races, you either outrun the opponent immediately or are stuck with an immovable wall that will instantly pit you the second you go for a pass

-AI randomly gets lost and stuck if you put a decent gap on them as well

-There's tons of random unskippable cutscenes that delay you from getting right back into the driving. Win/loss screen and every time you go to Tatsumi PA being the worst offenders

-Menu navigation feels like it's built to waste time. What is the point of clicking fast travel in the map and then having to open the phone to confirm it. Either put fast travel entirely in the phone or the map screen.

-Same criticism goes for buying parts, you have to menu to the subsection of the car, press a button to go to the shop, menu to the specific part and buy it, exit the shop and then walk up to the car to add the parts and put the old parts away on the shelf

-There's no way to clear the cart or remove specific items from it at checkout, the only way is to menu back to the part and remove it in that submenu. Clearing the cart requires you to exit the store

-Painting the car doesn't tell you how much it costs unless you already have enough money to paint the car and doing it in the dim lighting of the shop combined with the CRT filter makes it hard to tell exactly what color you've picked

-The driving physics feel ok but if you're touching the gas at all you basically lose the ability to turn in any meaningful way, even fully upgraded you'll spend most of your time coasting through corners off throttle as trying to roll onto it early will just induce understeer.

Overall the bones of a great racing game are there. These issues haven't stopped me from completing and enjoying what is available in the demo, but they added up to a lot of frustration the more I played.
