Snoozefest, the Devs will ban you if you speak the truth.
I've been following Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen for years, but unfortunately, it feels more like a pipe dream than a game we'll ever see come to fruition. While the concept of an old-school, group-focused MMO is appealing, the execution so far has been lackluster at best.

Development Hell: The game has been in development for nearly a decade, and despite all the promises, there's little tangible progress to show. The same zones and systems keep getting showcased over and over, with very little to differentiate builds from years prior. It feels like a perpetual tech demo rather than an actual game moving toward completion.

Outdated Vision: While it's clear the developers are banking on nostalgia for early MMOs like EverQuest, their approach seems stuck in the past. The clunky UI, stiff animations, and dated graphics don’t inspire confidence in their ability to create something modern players will enjoy. There’s a difference between "old-school" charm and "old-fashioned" design. Pantheon is falling into the latter category.

Lack of Transparency: Communication with the community has been frustratingly inconsistent. Updates often feel like fluff pieces that recycle the same information we’ve heard before, rather than providing meaningful insight into development progress. There's no clear roadmap or timeline for release, making it hard to stay optimistic.

Gameplay Issues: From what has been shown, the combat and exploration mechanics seem uninspired and sluggish. The emphasis on grind-heavy gameplay and forced grouping might appeal to a niche audience, but it alienates the broader player base. Without innovation, it’s hard to see how this will stand out in a competitive market.

Monetization Concerns: With crowdfunding at its core, Pantheon feels like a money pit. Many loyal backers have contributed significant amounts of money with little to show for it. This reliance on backer funds without delivering substantial progress raises serious questions about the project’s long-term viability.

Conclusion:
Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen had the potential to be a standout MMO, but it's hard to remain hopeful when the progress is so slow and the direction seems stuck in the past. Unless the team steps up their game in terms of communication, development speed, and modernization, it’s unlikely to live up to its lofty promises. For now, it feels more like a nostalgia-fueled dream that’s struggling to become reality.

🔥 Introducing Throne and Liberty: The Ultimate Dumpster Fire of 2024! 🔥

Are you a fan of endless bugs, game-breaking glitches, and lackluster gameplay? Then Throne and Liberty is the perfect game for you! NCSoft’s latest masterpiece manages to combine all the things you didn't want in an MMORPG: from unbalanced classes to a mind-numbing grind that feels like a second job — minus the paycheck.

🎮 Stunning Features Include:

Lag That’s Out of This World: Experience latency so bad, it’ll make you think you’re playing from another dimension! Perfect for those who enjoy watching their character stand still for 10 seconds before finally dying.

Pay-to-Win Shenanigans: Why rely on skill when you can just swipe your credit card? Throne and Liberty raises the bar by making sure every dollar you spend goes toward breaking whatever semblance of balance the game has left!

Lifeless World Design: Immerse yourself in a world that feels about as alive as a parking lot at 3 a.m. The graphics may be stunning, but good luck finding any real content to keep you engaged beyond the initial wow factor.

Communication Blackout: Love being ignored by developers? NCSoft’s customer service and response time will remind you of that one friend who’s always "too busy" to text back.

💸 Exclusive Bonus for New Players: Download now and get a free pack of frustration, regret, and buyer’s remorse! (Warning: Side effects include rage-quitting, uninstalling, and cursing the day you heard of this game.)

Still not convinced? Come see for yourself why Throne and Liberty is rapidly becoming the poster child for what NOT to do with a major game release.

Throne and Liberty: Embrace the chaos… if you dare. 🔥👎

Game is a time killer, if you are waiting for that next big game. More of a solo game, unless you find a random player to join, but xp is reduced per party member, so big win for solo players, but be prepared to die alot unless you are a monk. Recent update nerfed monks healing rate, can no longer tank higher level mobs as of 3/2/24.

Do not buy unless you want your money stolen.. steam should not support this game if they cannot help refund your money for getting scammed.

If your not in a group, you will die very fast, mobs can attack you with ranged weapons from way off in the distance and mob pets will mow you down quick.

Returning many years later....game is still kinda fun.
Game is pretty much dead, so have to find an active guild for dungeon runs.

Ranged attacks are clunky and most of the time you are firing in the opposite direction of said mobs. Game plays like a Korean mobile RPG without the auto quest.
