I was looking for a shooter that had a neat story and decent enough combat that didn't feel like a chore. I found a game with a REALLY cool story with supplemental logs that reads like an unofficial SCP story and combat that made me double-check that it was an indie dev. This was far better than it had any right to be, but I'm here for it! Every day of the week!

Extremely fun with friends (but what isn't?) Even as a solo player though, you can pop into a server and have a lot of fun. There's still always updates and free content getting thrown at the playerbase. In my humble opinion, this game is underrated and should have more players, given the balance, care, and activity the devs have shown. I don't usually do reviews but felt compelled to do so for this game, because it's so much fun and if I sway one person to buy it and they have fun, that's a huge win.

There's some lore inconsistencies and such, but if you're not a lore nerd like me, you likely won't care. The gameplay is fun. I usually, 9 times out of 10, hate RTS games, but being halo and the controls being simple, I recommend this. In particular, I recommend this to others who usually aren't into RTS games, who also love halo. This game will make you happy. Also, the cutscenes hold up to this day.

If you know Halo, you know why I recommend this. It's got a couple bugs, but it's definitely functional and I imagine the bugs will be fixed.
If you don't know Halo, then it's an arcade-y shooter with vehicles and fun weapons. It also has deep lore, so I'd say it's worth the $10 to give it a try.

Edit: More than a full year later and it's only getting better. They're releasing more cosmetics, mixing up game modes, challenges have been back for a while (though, that made your rank pointless) and most of the campaign bugs are fixed. 343 may be having a rough time continuing the series, but if the trade-off is getting the MCC on PC, I'll gladly make that trade.

Very VERY slighty weaker than the first game imo. Less endings to explore, but I recommend it highly! If you take your time, read and enjoy the story, and explore some other routes in the game, then it's like three hours of a fun story for $5. You could definitely do worse! I especially liked the times that they, if not broke, at least knocked on the fourth wall and called back to the first game's events. I had said 9/10 for the first game, I give this an 8.5/10 only because of less variety in the endings.

This was my first ever VN. I saw a glimpse of it on youtube and thought it might be a good one to start with. I was NOT disappointed and I was NOT prepared for the level of depth offered by this game. The smallest of choices can change your whole trajectory! I loved my whole experience in this game. If there was one critique I have about it, it's that some of the endings being only minor choices away from others seems strange to me in terms of story-telling. That can be viewed from many different angles though. 9/10 in my book (See what I did there? Because it's a VN..)

When going into games like this, I usually ask myself as I am playing: "Am I having [X] amount of dollars worth of fun?" It's $10 as I write this and now that I've played it, I can say that I would've paid up to $15 for this. It has a few different endings because...Well, what doesn't these days? But the story is pretty well written, thought-provoking, and is both chilling and funny (albeit with a darker sense of humor). If you like 1984-style dystopian tales, you should buy this. If you just want a good story with some interesting gameplay, you should buy this, but don't expect sunshine, lolipops and rainbows.

With that said, if you do get this, just some advice with no spoilers; I had the most fun when I was making decisions based on how I would if I were the protagonist as opposed to thinking about in the context of a video game. So, maybe give that a try in your first run? You don't have to of course, just sharing what inspired my favorite run in Beholder.

I have played for just under 40 minutes as I write this, but plan on continuing. I've played the other Reigns games too. This fixed something that I found lacking in the other games; It gives us context of the world we're in. It's Game of Thrones, so fans will know exactly where they are and what's going on.

If you're not a fan of Game of Thrones, this will seem like any of the other Reigns games to you. No context other than "You're a King/Queen, good luck!"

Overall, I recommend this! It's not expensive and within less than twenty minutes, I had $4 worth of fun.

Edit: So after playing it for a while longer, I do want to point out that I don't think this is meant to be a GoT Roleplaying game and if it is, then it fails. If you've played Reigns, then this is just Reigns with GoT content (Setting, characters, plot etc) I still recommend it because Reigns is still unique in-and-of itself. Adding the GoT skins onto the formula didn't make it terrible and for me personally, it improves the design, but it is not good for Roleplaying, it's a survival game just like the other Reigns games.

It has very little info to help you figure out things in the first run-through. That having been said the game is largely trial and error. I enjoyed it but as a game its not all that great. 4/10
