PoE 2: Dawn of the Hunt update. aka 0.2.0. What a fantastic failure of a project manager you are Jonathan. Hilariously tone deaf to actual feedback to help improve your game. The player base paid for the privilege of this EA title that you are treating as if it's a full release and yet you can't even give them the time of day to even listen to said feedback. It must really suck to have to fill such large shoes after Chris left, I bet.

These developers do not value your time, only your money. Stay far away. PoE 2 is the cancerous tumor that will end GGG's career if they do not cull it. PoE 1 died so Jonathan could give life to his precious project.

In better said words, the Golden Goose was sacrificed for a Rotten One. PoE 1 was lightning in a bottle. PoE 2 is eating a ♥♥♥♥ sandwich. I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done with this clown ass company.

Very "on-the-rails" experience so far. Game runs better than the open beta but still runs quite poorly and has issues loading textures. Would recommend waiting for patches/optimization fixes before buying.

Game that used to be very fun and not full of pure nerfs to fun systems. Constant nerfs to overperforming frames, constant nerfs to the player while raising enemy damage. All in the pursuit of keeping the player from getting their enjoyment from the game.

Horrible monetization practices that squeeze you for your hard-earned cash that have progressively gotten worse in quality in your money spent per reward.

On top of that, DE has a notorious reputation for their lack of good communication with their player base and community. They love to hand out bans or rescinds for people who were the victim of legitimate platinum (p2w currency) trades that happened to be purchased with a stolen credit cards or duplicated.

And the worst case being the bans they give out to record pushers for "breaking" the game as it was designed. This game company loves to tout itself, but it needs a desperate rearrangement of hired professionals.

Update 2: An Aspirant can afford to be promising. An Emperor must keep those promises. Jonathan and Co. that now lead GGG have effectively and silently strangled PoE1 to death over the birth of PoE2. I loved this game, but it seems it is time to move on. F*ck you GGG. You killed your magnum opus.

Update:
The cowardice of releasing the manifesto to the new league one month before launch (April) is so outstanding it makes me vomit. Killing the best crafting system in the game because it actually aligns with modern standards and surpasses the other systems that are dated back in '98 is a good way to kill your game and most importantly lose your income and player base. Deterministic crafting is GOOD for a game that is flooded with sh*t-stain item drops that are never used or picked up unless it's to garner currency. In fact, the best way to consistently make Chaos Orbs is to take your unidentified item lvl 70+ rare gear and sell them as sets.

I hope that when this game finally gets its deserved competition (Diablo 2 Remake/Diablo 4) that the entire player base leaves this godforsaken game to its own corpse and watch as Chris can only cry at his own mistakes and wrongdoing. He has single-handedly killed his highest player base retention mechanic because it "doesn't fit his vision." An absurdly gross one that he can't get rid of. To make the people spend their money on MTX/stash tabs, gamble their gear, and never have fun. Did i also forget to mention that Chris and his team decided to abandon "make your own build" in exchange for "archetypes"? Yeah. This game deserves to die at this rate.

Original review:
A disappointing yet addicting game. Led by a lead developer who can't get over the fact that his vision for his own game is impeding his own game's success. Delirium League is ironic in the way that it shows that Chris Wilson is hilariously incompetent at fixing his game and has little to no quality assurance to each league he delivers. He insists on making a league every 3 months because they can no longer fund their own employees without their disgusting MTX practices. It, at this point, has become a mobile game style funded game in the effect that, they can no longer work on the game without having horrible releases because they have to rush every league.

If this is the result of, "being ahead of schedule," then what is to say they won't deliver worse in the future? They have become complacent with the fact that their fans have just been injecting them with avenues of money and can't seem to understand that these same fans have become annoyed at the least, to downright enraged at the most at how absurd GGG can proudly release a new league that is buggy at launch and is only fixed by the time 80% of the player base has jumped ship because they either lost interest or are just unable to play with crashes and bullshet RNG happenstance.

The game was good once. Now I fear that GGG have shoved their heads so far up their rectums with pride, that they can no longer see that their original player base is dwindling because of dissatisfaction with the game's playability and rampant engorging of adding too much content to the base game. They refuse to look at content that needs to be either reworked or removed in the pursuit of adding new content to get more players in the game from all the hype they generate pre-release each league. ♥♥♥♥ this game.
