The Waifu -soulsvania- . Art is very good, map design ain't bad either, the graphics: color me impressed, they're well carely done, they even made shadows / light casts that change depending your height position / water surface reflections for a pixelart platform as this, minor details that... are rare and nice to see.

Now.. THE COMBAT: Oh man, I was UFF, this game punishes you! I was about to uninstall it and leave a bad review when I had like 10h of game but the game just wants you to keep going. It is hard, but why is it hard? Because everything is faster than you, the enemy reaction time is faster than your fastest attacks but there's a flaw, a horrible flaw that I felt poorly unbalanced... And would be the debuffs. Most all of enemies put debuffs such as poison / bleed / freeze. They do incredible damage, take long to go away and / or if you're playing on veteran + , these stack, meaning this, one blow will kill you on time if you do not constant spam heals. It does feel cheap. HOWEVER!, once you understand that the game is made under this unfair conditions but at the same time you have so many weapons / trinkets at your disposal, you start to get the hand of it. The game makes you repeat a lot , you'll die a lot. It IS frustrating i'll tell you that.

The best: Once you finish the game (I started on Veteran and finished it with the good ending) it will unlock new game variants and trust me, these are new fully experiences that remind me the games back then PsOne era. Too much to do, too much to try and feels nice to start a new game on any of these new modes.

Ok so... MONKEE. This game feels fresh from the getgo, these last years the "souls like" genre has expanded so much that somehow I felt saturated. Wukong on the other hand, brings the action hack n' slash that was a little bit forgotten. To be honest, the closest the game does feel is an in between Bayonetta on Hard / Darksiders II without the looting system. It works damn good.

Visuals are god lovely, the enviroments, all foes and everything feels made with details and care, you do not see repetitive textures. Combat, as mentioned before, is fluid, fast, the game does not feel hard, it has it's challenge yes but not neerly to a souls level and THAT'S totally fine because you feel the heat of the action, you do not have to worry about your "souls / rune" progress or something if you fail. There's a good bunch of moves and spells at your disposal to wreck anything.

Story, well... This is the story that inspired the original Dragon Ball. (Also, there is a Waifu, Diversity is... you have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Zoo! do not believe you know who on X )

About performance. Few framedrops but also, not a single crash, have not encountered major bugs, the game runs very good. I do use DLSS with 90 scaling for 90/120 ish 1440p on a 3070 / 7700X CPU, some ultra and other high options.

Remember the "I am Malenia, blade of Miquella" ?
Well, arise and become "I am the tarnished, champion of Miquella"

This DLC is huge! and ofc is hard, so be prepared. For some reason it is that Mohg, Lord of Blood himself keeps the entry requirement to access it.

From the "Bright Fantasy" we enjoyed in the lands between, you now enter a gloomy, eerie and perturbated place. The land of shadow is the oppositte bringing you an entire "Dark Fantasy" as that vibe previous souls had.

May 06 / 24 Update:

As expected, SONY has removed the mandatory PSN login on PC, which shouldn't have been from start. This is not about the countries that aren't unable to create accounts, this has to be more with FREEDOM of choice. There are plenty of us that do not want or care to buy a console, that's why we moved/play on PC instead. If the rules were set since the beggining, none of this no sense would have backlashed this way. Also, SONY, avoid to do these things to grow numbers to some shareholders, instead, bring a good product and look at what other enviroment can do if yo do the things right. - But we know that won't happen -

=======================================================================

Democracy has fallen dear comrades.
The automatons have sent a direct strike to headquarters and Sony has retaliated.

I repeat, AUTOMATONS HAVE SENT A DIRECT STRIKE TO HEADQUARTERS AND SONY HAS RETALIATED.

Our militant structure has fragmented. If you want to continue fighting for Super Earth, you must present your documentation and PSN passport. The new Automatons plus order is to control the borders. Otherwise, you are REQUIRED to have the document, no matter your rank.

Stay at home, watch your backdoor, and may democracy prevail.

Ok Neon White... Not bad for a dead guy huh. It ain't a FPS per se, it is more a set of stages where you race to do Time trials, good for speedrunning. There's a lot of Visual Novel here which I did not put a lot of attention to it after the 2nd episode.

The mechanics are fun, you have to proceed each stage with a "weapon" card which can shoot or do the weapon skill (stomp, dash, grapple, air jump, etc) and you have to use these cards in a certain order, like a puzzle in order to finish each level fast and good. There are a TON of them, almost 140+ stages. The game provides you a lot of variety so it does not feel repetetive, sometimes a little bit annoying with certain stages but nothing you'd be mad about it.

I know i'm late, never played a Yakuza game before. At first, I was seeking something similar to Sleeping Dogs . I thought this one had it but more cheesy, and how naive I was, turns out... Yakuza 0 is by far one of the best games I have ever played. Totally stuck with the characters, the plot writting, each sidequest made me laugh or struck me with a moral basic lesson. Gameplay is fun and the game offers so much stuff to do that , in one segment, I was totally addicted to a certain minigame with some hostess non stop.

The main plot hit me right in the feels, never expected that coming. I grew fond of each character, even minor ones due how good written they are. Combat style, is not the best but for the era and how dynamic / different stances you have at your disposal, hard to get bored on that. Tons of minigames are fun, some well, RNG bs but I can stand those to a certain degree (achievement hunting, that hurts) Overall, this game is a must, the performance... I never had a single crash or bug which amazed me on that area too.
