Iv'e played this game for a while now, and must conclude that it is not very good. Yes, the graphics are nice and yes, you can create your own custom buildings, but the following things bother me so much that I can not recommend this game:

1. Placement
Everything you want to place is a struggle. Want a path alongside a habitat? good luck. Want to create a plaza that is not square? Not here. Paths are a big struggle, but connecting paths to buildings as well.

2. Buildings and habitat structures
Because the game is focused so much on building your own structures and buildings, there are almost no pre-made structures to choose from. This makes the game look quite bland. The problem is: creating your own building can only be done with the free-form builder, which is less than ideal for creating perfectly square buildings with aligned walls.

3. Animal wellfare
It is seriously annoying to have to place 5 ugly toys in a habitat because it improves their welfare. Also, animals become stressed really quickly, which triggers a notification each time it happens. The problem is, when you decrease the amount of viewing angles on the animals, the guests will become unhappy. There is no way to set this up perfectly, at least not without the one-way glass, which is more late-game research.

4. Barriers and facilities breaking down
I hate to have to call a mechanic each time a barrier starts to break down. The mechanic reports that he has a lot of spare time, but refuses to do this on his own. This is the kind of micro-management I do not like, and this game has a lot of it.

5. Useless micro-management
This might be the worst part of the game. Everything is managable: setting salaries, controlling food quality, timing the intervals when zookeepers come to check on the animals. And for what? Nothing! Setting this up for each new habitat is such a drag, and it could have been very easily automated by the game without any hassle. Why not just let a mechanic do it's job?

6. The animal market
Buying animals is quite difficult in this game. Animals are sorted in pages, and the game starts seriously slowing down when looking for new animals to adopt. I would have loved a more intuitive layout for this.

All in all, this game is just not worth the cost. I would recommend everyone to do something else with their spare time.

It's pretty good I guess, you shouldn't buy it if you are looking for a game that lasts though.

Sorry but this was not worth my 78 minutes. I expected a lot because I had been waiting for six years. These expectations were shattered as soon as I got into the game. I don't feel like writing about what is bad because everyone has done that already. I'd just recommend not buying it.

So in short: it is quite a fun game, and feels quite optimized. The gameplay gets quite grindy quickly however, and multiplayer still doesnt work all that great. The developers are still updating the game regularly, which is a massive plus. Because of this, I'd buy it if it is on sale.
