Games that elicit a strong emotional response are rare. Games that do it several times, over and over, are even rarer. And games that actively make you feel bad and punish you for the choices you made are absolutely superb. The amount of "fight or flight" situations that your characters are put through really has a lasting impact.

I only made it to roughly halfway through the game, before I wanted to restart due to the choices that I had made. But, knowing that there were multiple endings, I was already pot-committed to finishing this story arc. And the amount of punishing moral quandaries that the game puts you through were tough.

Graphics were superb, and controls felt a little clunky at first, but after the first few missions became natural.

Overall, this was a stellar game, and I can't recommend it enough. It's the kind of game that sticks with you, and I'm looking forward to playing it again, making better choices this time.

Cannot recommend enough. Definitely worth the wait, I love it. The nostalgia. The VR interactions... So good.

hard as f*ck, but it's fun.

As a first release, it's not bad. There are several things to work on though, and excited to see where they take this in future releases.

Compared to Project:Session, the mechanics of SkaterXL are severely lacking, but SkaterXL makes up for it with how polished their motion tracking is.

Minor things like not being able to get off of your board, only being able to turn while moving, or grinds having the same amount of friction as the player object does when rolling on the ground are all things that can be improved. The catch system needs a little work as well, but again, as a first release, it's quite promising.
