This was on John Linneman's top 11 list for 2024 so I bought it on that recommendation. What I didn't expect to find was that he's a corporate sellout, how was this game not number 1? Most fun I've had with a game in months. It's pure, addictive joy from a long last art of... being fun.

I love the concept of this game, but as someone who isn't very much into MP I came along hoping for improvements to SP content. Sadly none are forthcoming right now. If you like MP run toward this game, if you want some SP content, or PVE, this probably isn't for you right now.

Great story, would love a sequel that's got multiplayer where some of the ships need people to work together to take bits apart correctly.

Even in 2024 with the sequel out… this game has so much to offer. I've put over 200 hours in across Steam and Xbox. If you've played Frostpunk 2 and want more, this game has a lot more content to offer while we wait for more scenarios and DLC

They succeeded, in an era of new trek this took me back to TNG in all the right ways. Great writing and voice acting throughout.

All this said I am essentially forgiving a lot of jank mechanics in this game and I hope it's a success that they can build on top of this for their next installment.

Sands and Sinners let's just pretend this game never happened

If you love Xenonauts 1 then this is Xenonauts but more betterer, and it's only in early access right now. Give it 9 more months and this will be the definitive Xenonauts game by a mile instead of a meter.

Came in having loved the tactics of Battletech, and am sorely dissapointed.

This game has bad AI, bad voice acting, a bad tutorial, and little in the way of tactics.

I just wish I figured out that it's not for me before I went past the refund window.

While I appreciate the efforts gone into this remaster and how true to the original they've kept it, I find the game just doesn't hold up in 2020. The levels are slow, the path finding was frustrating when it came out but is made worse when compared to modern games, or even the Open Source alternative, OpenRa. Some mods exist to fix the issues, but don't seem to be being kept up to date or implemented very well.

Headline allows you to choose the headlines, will you take a pro-equality stance on issues or simply post trashy celeb stories? Your decsions are further complicated as your spouse and teenage daughter have their own health and legal issues going on and you realise that you could influence things in their favour, but is that the right thing to do?
