Early Access Review
I never was into Hack'n'Slay games but ... damned, I love this ♥♥♥♥. It's quite complicated to get started, but hey, that's what I want!

As for wondering about my playtime, I play mostly on PS5 and grabbed an early access key for PC too. These devs need to be supported. This game will be free to play anyway in a few Months.

Cheers!

Could somebody buy the code and re-release this game? Missing it hardly. :(

Herrlich. :p

I just wanted to write a review, but read a few other reviews first. The overall statistics say: "very positive". I agree with this.

But ... if you switch the view to German reviews only, you only see red ratings. Ah, that German nagging culture again... Wonderful. :p

All in one a good fighting game with solid and easy to learn mechanics.

Unfortunately, as every fighter in the west european region (except Street Fighter and Tekken), it lacks of a large to medium sized playerbase. If you are a newbie to fighting games, mostly you will match up with the same players, who already are experts in the genre and hugely above your own skill. Sadly, because it's really a good game.

With a strong will of course, you could learn from the losses, but it doesn't make such fun as you will be losing all the time. Alternatively, you could play with your friends online, who are in the same skill level as you. In this case, yes ... it is really fun.

It is unlucky that I don't have any friends who are into fighting games, so I will stay with the strong will, in the hope to get better someday.

Ok, for those who were expecting to play this game online with their friends (who don't always live in the neighbourhood) I can't recommend this game.

Come on Square Enix... in times of internet, it wouldn't destroy the original flair.

Because there was "Local Coop" as well as "Coop" (Online Coop) in the description, my friend and I bought the game, just to find out, that the game is totally missing online coop.

I don't know, if they give a refound, after 2 hours of gameplay (because in the original game, the coop begins, when you meet the girl). Anyway, the description on the steam shopsite of the game is a lie. This really important feature is totally missing.

We were waiting for about a year for this nice long online coop weekend... Square Enix, you just destroyed our dreams.

What should I say... I bought this game a few months ago, but didn't have time to play it... until now.

Dude, I never thought, that there was a combination of an RPG with turn based strategy (X-COM-like).

The gameplay blew my mind away. So many options, so many different paths of storytelling, definitive worth playing it over and over again. It seems, that I will constantly look back into that game... and yes, the graphics are awesome and the art design is really made with love! Please more like this.

I will definitely update my review someday. For now I'm really flashed.

Really... I have never played a city simulation game before, because I was never interested. Now, after just 8 hours it seems that this game is becoming one of my favourites (very addictive, even with no multiplayer), being worth each single cent. Even if not being on sale. I just was lucky.

I compared also other city simulation games before I finally decided to get it and that seemed to be the best one in this category at the moment. You can feel that it is developed with love!

The DLCs seem to be very promising, but better take a look on the reviews of each one separately. I'll wait to get these on sale too. There is a great amount of mods in the workshop anyway.

The only negative thing is that this game has no tutorial. Fortunately, there are plenty of videos on YouTube. Building roads in curvy forms may become a bit tricky, but you get pretty quick into it.

Stress is not a component of the game, as you can pause the time and think about your next steps (or even add buildings and infrastructure components in this state). Building a city was never more rewarding. You just feel proud, about everything you build or manage to solve...

If you get it, you will definitely have a lot of fun!

Wow, I have been looking for something like this for years! I've found it because I was bored, so I started exploring recently updated games in the shop. The game is quite new and I hope the developers will continue keeping it up-to-date over the years to come.

Actually it has been a long time since I've last played chess. Here is a good opportunity to start again. The graphics is good for the purpose. For me, it's the best graphics I've ever seen for a chess game. You can actually put it on max details and 4k, as framerate doesn't matter. Seriously. Even if you downsample 4k on a 1080p monitor, it still looks amazing.

I haven't tested the VR mode yet, but I don't think I'm really interrested. Maybe I'll try it sometime. I find it more relaxing on my big monitor or with Steam Link on my TV anyway. While your opponent is thinking, you can do other things simultaneously. There is a notification function, when it comes to your turn again.

The game has a good soundtrack and it isn't annoying. Actually it calms you down, so you can concentrate on the game. You could enjoy it, with a glass of wine after work. ;)

There is great potencial to make more people start playing chess again, which is (IMHO) the best turn based strategy game ever invented! Easy to learn, hard to master.

When you want to play online, better take some time with you. That's how chess is supposed to be played. It's all about thinking, till your brain gets muscles. :D

Well... First I thought it was just a hype, but... this game really kicks ass!

Avoid using the xbox or xbox one controller for this game. Better try it with a Playstation controller or even better...

... this game made me buy a cheap arcade stick and some parts to mod it into something more valuable.

Graphics: cool!
Sound: Excellent
Gameplay: Easy to learn, hard to master.
Story: who cares ...

Every hit landing is just satisfying... "batch" "pow" "kawoom"

I'd give that 10/10!

What I don't understand, is why people are bashing Street Fighter V in the reviews. Both games are fighting games, but they are completely different on their own.

Original release comment: Hmm... What should I say... Boring... boring... boring...

Comment in 2023: After all the patches and updates ... it is the game it deserved to be, just wow. I like it. :)
