5 friends, in the Orca, we reinforce the hull and we go deeper. We find an overrun settlement, we make some rushed preparations, we dock. One of our crewmates gets immediately infected, before even stepping inside the outpost, our doctor tries to rush to cure him but it's too late as the husk is already too developed. We beat him, shoot him as he gets up again and again, we deal so much damage he falls unconscious so we try to lock him in the crew's quarters, I try to handcuff him as as the sec. officer and it doesn't work. Slowly but surely we're all hit as we try to avoid him, we're all infected, we all weld ourselves into rooms in hopes of saving it but it's too late.

We restart, thinking..
I say, "what if we just shoot it with our coilguns?" Mixed response, but I don't care, I start blasting at the outpost, flooding the halls and flushing husks on husks out, soon after my crewmates catch on, and we systematically clear the outpost from the outside, unfortunately they still get in, so we die.

We restart, again.
Immediately, we all equip suits, we weld all the doors, we equip ourselves with guns and ammo. We slowly sweep with our guns through the outpost, butchering husks left and right, we were cooperating like never seen before, passing ammo boxes left and right, refueling oxygen tanks.. We kill most of the husks from the outside, and we come out the airlock to bait out the few left, we guide the shots of our gunners, I even try to throw a frag grenade but fail. In the end, we win the quest, we kill all the husks, we harvest the stuff from the outpost and happily leave.

10/10 game

An exhilarating and infuriating mix of colony survival, sci-fi, military strategy and The Sims; in RimWorld you are tasked with managing the relationships of your beloved pawns while fighting hordes of unforgiving and impenetrable automatons.

RimWorld has a special place in my heart, being one of my most played games on Steam and my favourite colony-simulation game possibly ever, I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone thinking about buying it (though, wait for a sale), not only because of the fun and (rarely) calm, satisfying gameplay, but just due to the sheer, unbelievable variety and quality in the modding scene of this game, I can't explain just how much stuff you can find, and thanks to some dear pals I've been able to make my owns mods as well. The giant community of crazed cannibals that surrounds this game is truly unique, and I couldn't ask for more, I've made many friends thanks to this game.

Addendum: The DLCs are wonderful packs of content as well, Biotech and Royalty add a lot of new toys to the game, while Ideology functionally changes the gameplay, I'd personally recommend all 3.

9.5/10 (.5 points deducted because of the awful mech designs of the Biotech DLC.)

Early Access Review
For the few hours I've played, I have to say it's quite a charming little townbuilder game, altough a bit complicated for my smooth brain I found myself organically learning the different tabs and options.
This is definitely a game I'll come back to, and if you're a fan of city/colony management games you're sure to enjoy Odd Realm.

I only have a few issues with the game
- The size of the UI feels almost cramped, don't get me wrong, the pixel art style is very nice but it feels small. (Not sure there's a fix for this without breaking the style.)
- I find that my colonists will leave things on the ground even when there's free room in stockpiles, and they're doing nothing
- Maybe I'm not noticing it but I'd like if a small notification appeared when a tome is written, just so I know if I can finally complete a new research

Overall, despite the game being in early access, I definitely recommend it, 8.8/10

P.S. The humans have very funny faces

Really fun and cute game, you can make many things with all the machinery and even farm, if you feel like it.
There isn't much else to say, but I'll add a list of commands for people who can't figure them out.
Press Tab to open the menu, then, once you selected an object press E or Q to spawn it, E spawns the object facing right and Q spawns it facing left.
You can use A and D to rotate a frozen object for easier building.

A good, no, great game.
A combination of movement and shooting that I could only dream of, with a funky art style and fun characters to play as.
And even then, it's all free.
10/10, a must for beginners.
