No true "F2P" story, I recommend waiting until things are on sale until buying DLCs (if you want to at all), its an okay game but there are better games to spend money on.
After another 760 hours, pain.
After another 989 hours, 3 DLCS are free and lightfall is often on sale, and TFS is a very good experience.
