I'm coming at this as someone who's never played Vampire Survivors nor do I have any personal attachment to hololive. At the time of writing, within a week, I've spent just over 50 hours to get every achievement aside from the last one, which will take a while.

Long story short, the game is great and it's easily the game I've put in the most time of this year. There's a ton of content and I'm still flabbergasted that it's free. For anyone starting out, I'd say every character is viable for doing content, but my personal favorites for certain tasks would be (with their character gacha in parenthesis): Kiara (MYTH) as a tank who can push through harder stages with ease, Risu (AREA 15) for farming for holocoins, and Fauna (Council + HOPE) for hard achievement hunting.

Despite doing all the achievements aside from the last one, there's still a lot I can still tackle. The last achievement I mentioned requires playing enough of every character (38 as of patch 0.6) enough to earn gachikoi status, which will take dozens of hours at minimum. Beyond that, there's clearing every stage (4 normal + 3 hard) and timed mode with every character, plus trying to rank with each character in endless mode (both all-time and daily leaderboards), and some Holo House activities (cultivating the best workers, catching a golden variant of every fish, decorating the Holo House).

If you want a game that'll steal a lot of your time that doesn't cost a dime, this is a great option.

It's a cute timer I use to keep track of how long I've been doing something, that'll sometimes decide to get in the way of what I'm doing, the little rascal.

Played through it twice, really enjoyed the story. It dynamically changes depending on who you decide to Liberate, whether you win or lose. Every character has their own outcome depending on what interactions you had, and who ultimated became Liberated through the Rites. While I feel like the Rites themselves can be hit or miss, the story and characters more than made up for it, at least for me.

This game honestly has one of the most innovative blends of managment sim and rpg that I wish more games would copy. I beat the game twice just because it was that good.

Surprisingly very enjoyable for anyone who enjoys tower defense games or playing a bit as the bad guy

A really fun and lighthearted 2D dota clone that changes up the formula enough to be worth a look. Also had has a lot of updates and support since launch, including a lot of new characters.
