absolutely amazing co-op game of the likes of deep rock galactic and left 4 dead 2, but the publisher can lick my taint with the forced account linking.

EDIT: WE WON FELLOW HELLDIVERS! JOIN NOW TO CONTINUE TO SPREAD MANAGED DEMOCRACY!!!!

so yeah changing my review once more, the devs hate fun and are actively ruining the game. the game launched as a horde shooter at the same tier of left 4 dead/ deep rock galactic, one where you battle swarms of enemies using big guns and even bigger artillery, but what the devs apparently want is a disposable troop mil sim where you have to run from the hordes or die only to be forced to defend a point against waves of enemies, half of which are literally immune to all damage, armed with nothing but peashooters and the minute+ cool down stratagems, and the stratagems are not even guaranteed to kill half the time. and by the time you have killed one of these immortal enemies, 5 more have spawned along side 2 of the heavier units. this game is "balanced" around the lowest difficulty. getting stunlocked/ fail an objective because there were to many enemies that were literally impossible to damage is not fun, and playing on lower difficulties is not fun because it is incredibly boring as all they give you are weak enemies that are boring to fight. the heavies have near 0 counterplay except the bots with their vents( excluding the new update that added bots with NO weakpoints).

TLDR: dont buy this game untill after they deliver on their promises to stop making it worse, and dont buy it at all if they break those promises (again).

this game has consumed me. one week in and I had 75 hours of game time. it makes me feel the wonder I had playing pokemon as a child, and is everything I wished Legends Arceus was. here is too hoping that it does not get abandoned and gets the polish it desperately needs. (Multiplayer is laggy, jittery mess with more than 4 players)

first time playing an Armored Core game, and it is quite fun. despite what people say about the difficult boss fights, they are only difficult if you refuse to change your build (like I did most of my way through, dual songbirds + Gatling guns shreds quite a few bosses). while the story is only a few hours long, there are multiple endings, as well as certain missions only being available upon NG+ or NG++.

go on missions to mine resources for management, kill bugs, upgrade your gear, repeat. The game play feels like left 4 dead meets Minecraft, with variety of biomes and mission types combined with the procedural generation making each mission feel somewhat unique. With the seasons bringing free content and the battlepass only containing cosmetics (that will be added to the random loot pool when the season ends), and the dlc only being cosmetics, you very much get what you pay for. Above all this though is the community, being the single most friendly and anti-toxic game I have seen. despite the ♥♥♥♥ talk you get for ordering leaf lovers (rightfully so), i have only encountered 1 truly toxic people while playing the game, and he was summarily kicked by the host, with a shout of rock and stone. the average experience for greenbeards is having some random level 150+ dropping in to your haz 2 game and depositing useful tips on how to play the game, as well as teaching DRG manners such as typing r in chat when you are ready to proceed with the objective, pressing v at appropriate times (all the time), and of course, the sacred RICHual. I might not be that grey of a beard, but I have meet my share of greenbeards and it is always a joy to help them and to teach them the ways of ROCK! AND! STONE!

PS. I have bought all the DLC despite only really using 2 of them in my loadouts, simply because Ghost Ship Games has created a wonderful game with such a beautiful community that they really deserve all that money.

perfect to satisfy that urge for wanton destruction, especially with some mods. ashamed to admit that the first level took me a while to break the brick, felt like a game journalist on that one.

40 hours and just finished the first act. got on at 8am, and saw it was 1am the next moment i looked. for an actual description of the game, it is basically DnD by yourself. my only issue is the scripted action that high judge orivand takes, i teleport his ass outside and the MF purges the elf through 100m of castle wall. i call total bs on that.

i cannot caunt the hours i have poured into this game on the 360. it is one of those games that you start plying at 7am on a saturday morning and at 8pm you realize it hasnt been one hour, but 13, and you dont feel those hours are wasted. i love this game so much i got it on pc just to get the dlc(mainly because microsoft is cucking me with trying to buy stuff). if you like skyrim, you will love this game(may be just be because i played this before skyrim but i like it a WHOLE lot more).
