Update June 23rd 2024: Sony still hasn't lifted the restriction on the countries being able to play Helldivers and seems to double down on keeping their new games restricted to regions where PSN is available and making their "service" mandatory in their new games for reasons you can probably imagine. That said, as I mentioned the game itself is a lot of fun and the developers are solid, for that reason I will change my review to Positive. The developers are doing their best to add fun new content to the game and to keep it interesting with new developments while keeping player feedback in mind without engaging in anticonsumer behavior. I hope that this will keep being the case and that the developer will be able to keep their integrity and not be forced by Sony to do something that they don't stand for.

May 3rd 2024: Sony announced mandatory PlayStation Account Linking stating this is for "Safety" after the account linking had been optional since launch. This contradicted their own FAQ where previously it stated that PSN Account Linking was optional for games on PC, following this announcement they changed that FAQ to say that it can now be required in some games (On PlayStation own store page for Helldivers 2 for PC it still stated that players "currently do not need a PSN account to enjoy PlayStation Studios games on PC"). Besides players now being forced to make a PSN account to play a game they have been playing for a while and despite the game previously functioning just fine without the requirement, the sudden change would also mean that Helldivers 2 would suddenly no longer be playable in over 170 regions where the game was previously sold due to PSN not being available in those regions. The Helldivers community makes themselves heard and the developer says they are in talks with Sony, stating that they are universally unhappy with this decision.

May 5th 2024: Helldivers 2 is delisted from over 170 countries where PSN is not available.

May 6th 2024: After over 300,000 negative reviews (according to SteamDB stats directly from Steam API) over the weekend Sony walks back the decision to make Playstation Account Linking mandatory, stating on Twitter/X that they are "still learning what is best for PC players". It should be noted that at this time there has not been an official statement made yet on steam nor is the game made available again in the countries where the game was made unavailable.

This whole situation that transpired should serve as a reminder of the presence of Sony as the Publisher and the power they have over the game. So despite the walkback of this decision, people should keep an eye out for any potential decision/changes in the future but enjoy the game in the meanwhile. This potential makes it difficult to wholeheartedly recommend the game with a resounding "Yes", because there's a lingering feeling of "What if they try to do something again in the future."

Still, the game, live service model and Arrowhead themselves are great and deserve a recommended rating, even if Sony and their actions do not. While I want to recommend Helldivers 2, until the actions on steam or in the game reflect what was said on Twitter/X and the game is made available again in the countries where it was made unavailable, I will keep this review as negative.

Helldiver's 2 bucks the trend for live service models and games as a whole in this current climate by providing a great experience for an decent price. The live service model is unlike anything we have seen so far and takes the shape of new enemies and content showing up through story telling with a story led by a dedicated Game Master, and unlocking new content is a breath of fresh air in the current gaming landscape and feels like a throwback to better times by truly having all new content be unlockable through simply playing the game and finding in game currency (so far).

So the developer's efforts should be praised and rewarded for making a fun and engaging experience, but it should also be praised so that we let our wishes be heard and show other developers what we want to see more of going forward.

Fantastic and relaxing game that even 8 years after release still receives updates from an amazing developer.

At the moment of writing Cities Skylines 2 has serious problems in performance, balancing, mechanics and the user experience/interface. Mod support (which could help fix the glaring problems and improve the game's quality in the meantime while Colossal Order creates official fixes) and the Editor have been delayed and will now take several months until they are released, which once more proves that Cities Skylines 2 was not ready to be released when it did.

Frankly Cities Skylines 2 should have never released in this state after the promotions and hyping up and should have been delayed by a few months at least. Delaying would have allowed for more polish, testing, both bug and playtesting, as well as further optimization and would have resulted in a better product at launch and prevented a lot of the glaring problems that people are experiencing and bringing to light now. Players/customers would have been receptive to a delay because of Colossal Order's reputation and the reputation of their product. A delay isn't a sign of incompetence or failure but shows that the developer cares about the quality of the product they are about deliver. Now you could say that this is also the case for the delay of the Editor by itself, which is true, but had the whole game been delayed then the editor could have been released with the game or the editor would've only been delayed a shorter amount of time. By doing this there would not have needed to disappoint the people who were waiting on the editor and mod support to shape the experience more to their liking as much as they did now.

I loved Cities Skylines 1 with thousands of hours played in it so when the state of the game reaches a point where I can recommend it I will be happy to change my recommendation to positive, but right now you're better off playing Cities Skylines 1 with mods and waiting a few months until this game is in a better state. The game has incredible potential IF they keep at it and don't abandon it, but at the moment it simply just isn't there yet and I can't recommend it, especially not for the full asking price.

I finished the game on the Xbox App and used the Steam version purely for the multiplayer and steam integration, but I want to give my "review" here.

The singleplayer story was decently interesting, though it very much felt like being thrown into the middle of a bigger story, you find out some things through audio logs and the likes, but it's not as engaging as experiencing it. Meanwhile it feels like it finishes before the end of the story, with questions and without a very clear direction. It seemed like there would be more story to come in the shape of DLC or an expansions or something of the like, but so far that's not been the case, I wonder whatever happened to that.

Decisions have been made that have been very detrimental to the way the game plays and feels which becomes especially clear in multiplayer, an absolute shame because it could've been great.

Just don't bother, playing this game is a complete waste of your time and money that you're better off spending elsewhere.

I didn't have to spend any money on it and frankly I still I feel like that was too much money spend on it and I feel bad for saying that because it was gifted to me. I spend way too many hours into this because of a game/entertainment drought when it released before I snapped out of it and realized that I don't want to waste my time or effort on this game, as I saw it only going downhill.

I could go very in depth into the why and list each and every reason, but that's probably not a good idea, summarized it does a few things well, but it does way more things wrong. You can find a lot of the reasons in other reviews and articles/posts all over the internet. If this is an indication of the direction that the franchise is going then that's not a good sign for the players.

So just don't waste your time or money and maybe just maybe, things will improve a few games down the line, but I won't hold my breath. I might try it some other time to see if things improve and I won't hold my breath for that either.

An absolutely incredible Dragon Ball experience, so much fun to play through. Even though you know the outcome if you've seen the series it still draws you in and there's still plenty of new fun things to see in the Substories, with a few whatifs or some that further develop a character.

The gameplay is fun and incredibly engaging. Apart from the random encounter battles, the battles are really diverse and true to the characters all of them giving some challenge, but never too much that you don't make it, a great feat of balancing and game design!

The cutscenes are absolutely incredible, they somehow make managed to turn that dial up to 11 every time with exceptional effects and framing.

This game is so incredibly well done and if they ever return with an expansion for Super or for the movies, you bet that I'll be getting that!
