easily the most fun i've had in a multiplayer game in the better part of the last decade. great devs, they've been super transparent and proactive about server capacity issues, and it's clear there's a lot more content in store for the game. well worth the price tag

Stopped myself from buying elden ring until i beat one of the three fromsoft games i own and i gotta say this ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥ HARD. Way back when, i was playin force unleashed on the DS, stuck on the very last level with the palpatine boss fight. No game in these past 14 years has recaptured that feeling of satisfied relief after finally beating the tar out of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who's been giving you trouble for hours, racking up your deaths by the dozen.

Went out of my way to read At the Mountains of Madness for the game and i gotta say, it's a great experience, especially coming fresh out of the novella. While standing well enough as standalone experience, it immersed itself smoothly into the Lovecraft universe, playing with new story elements while incorporating plenty from the source material. It's not the scariest game, and i got snagged on a puzzle or two in ways that felt somewhat frustrating (that prybar on the second mansion visit eluded me for at least 20 minutes), but those were minor inconveniences at the end of the day. Definitely worth a play if you're just getting into the horror genre
