Global Offensive is not only meaningful, but also very attractive - in vain, many years after many years, the complete bleakness and spartan simplicity of Source was replaced by ornately constructed, sometimes exceptionally beautiful maps. The animations are still simple, and the tracks themselves are terribly angular, and there are almost no dynamic or destructible elements, but perhaps these would have disturbed the firefights that required maximum concentration and full attention. The gameplay itself, however, has changed quite a bit. It is true that the range now includes the Molotov cocktail, the decoy grenade that shows a fake firefight on the map, or the Zeus pistol that emits a huge burst of energy, in addition the character models have become smaller and with it the hitboxes, and the interface for buying weapons has completely changed , but this Counter-Strike is still the same as before. It doesn't have ironsight, you can't modify the weapons, and they don't have dynamics, they all look and act like a bot, just like in all the games powered by the Source engine. Yet it works: Global Offensive is a perfect example of what a timeless, all-ages, all-times fun, endlessly fine-tuned game looks like, without the need for artificially dosed adrenaline rushes, role-playing elements, ultra-realistic tools and environments. All you need is two teams, a well-defined goal, and the unforgettable command: GO, GO, GO!
