To say that this game has been a disappointing experience for me is a huge understatement

Played before the gloomrot update came. stopped for a while but then got back into it a few days ago And by golly the changes were big. The overhaul made the game (for me that is) fun, beautiful and much more interesting than it was during my prior experience. To say the least, I love it.

Get some friends to play with you for the very best experience. While going solo is still fun, its always better with company. Especially when the bosses get more challenging further into the progression.

It's not Dishonored no. but by golly it was quite an experience. It's more like playing Dead cells and those alike it. Despite having you running in circles, it doesn't mean you don't make any progress. Exploration, experimentation and information is the key to progression in Deathloop.

Once you know where the pieces are meant to fall into place, there is that feeling of satisfaction that everything you did was all worth it. And don't worry the game does provide some hand holding. Which is pretty nice knowing that you die as quickly as your enemies, so keep that in mind.

The place is beautiful, 80's aesthetics that I can't remember seeing as wonderfully implemented in any other video games. From the atmosphere, furniture, decor are absolutely stunning.

But the game can be buggy at times and in my experience that would be the AI's. Braindead and annoying especially if they have a one to two shot kinda weapon. To be honest I don't mind much as it often brings about silly moments.

In my opinion, Deathloop feels like a short but fun experience so I'd recommend getting this on sale or when there's nothing you want to play.

9/10 would recommend

10/10 would kiss 2-bit

100/10 would kill fia again

A lot is lacking in comparison to Torchlight 2.

From the perspective of someone who has yet to play any of the Stalker series but has played the Metro series, it is great and fun. But it is quite a grind and new player can find themselves in a pinch in many cases.

My biggest complaint is players camping. you would think that with a counter on your map that tells you how many players there are within your vicinity (something like 15m or 20m? idk) would prevent that. Yet there still are so many that it's a viable strategy. As there are specific routes (that I know of) that are efficient and crucial to story quests that basically lead to a choke point for both Stalkers and Bandits (the two factions) to pass through. So best believe, unless you are going in there like an avengers level threat, you will be sent back to base like Tom Cruise in Edge of Tomorrow.

I suppose that is to be expected in every game. I enjoy the pvp aspect but understand that it may prove to be not as rewarding as you can only pick up ammunition and some miscellaneous items (even crafting items).

To note; this is my first time playing these genre of games (Stalker survival-ish?) and ACTUALLY finding myself wanting to get back into it. Play with friends and you might find it to be a quite a blast.

I like the gameplay. I like the combat. The crafting is easy enough. But I can't enjoy this game fully because of it's awful timegate(fimbulwinter). Unless they fix/balance or do something else with it (saga mode). I can't recommend this to anyone who expects this game to be something like a survivalcraft. Or a rewarding one that is. I won't go into survival mode because frankly it does not appeal to me as much as Saga mode. Therefore I have not indulged in it enough to give a proper review on it.

Addicting, rewarding and a great addition in the open world survival craft games genre. Should get it whenever it's on sale.
