I was playing a casual game last night defending a control point as a heavy. A scout on the opposing team would try to zip past me and I'd let my chain gun fire. Instead of hearing the ding sound for connected hits it would register the word miss, even at close ranges. I understand damage drops off at range with the heavy's gun, but I've never totally missed several rapid fire shots. He was wearing a hat, but I couldn't find anything that looks like it online. Was this a legit item or a cheat?
