This is a 1-2 hour puzzle game. I love the gradient, colorful art; the soothing music; and the accessible puzzles. The character animation could be improved, however, as well as the story line (which pretty much doesn't exist).

This is a super unique game! It feels like a walking simulator with challenges along the way. Unlike GRIS or other similar games, INSIDE's atmosphere is very dark, and the story seemed very intriguing until... the ending ruined it for me! The whole game it felt like the plot was building up towards a resolution, but this climax was never reached. In sum, cool dark game with lame ending.

This is a short 2-hour game with very good visual artwork. The puzzles are rather simple, but the play experience is nothing like I had ever seen. I did not enjoy the soundtrack, and cannot say the story was super captivating to me.

I fancied this game for what seemed like an eternity and finally bought it during the last summer sale... only to give it up months later. I cannot overstate how H.A.R.D. this game is, to the point that for me it basically kills all the fun. For a "game of the year," I also expected way better 3D designs than this; the only thing that looks sharp and clean are the cinematics, and that's not a computer issue.

I've been playing this so often that I'm even dreaming of view cones.

Bought this game because of the art style and concept; left unfinished because of the game play experience: I have no patience to move around a character who walks at a pace of about 1 step per second. Beyond sluggish!

I can appreciate what the developers were trying to accomplish here, especially with the quality of the artwork (animation + soundtrack), but I still would not recommend the game, especially when not on sale. The game is very short, the puzzle flow is obtuse/incomprehensible at times, and even though I tried, I just could not bring myself to connect with the story the way it was presented. Strangely, this game also lacks achievements, and that was a first for me.

This is SOOOOOO beautiful!!!! Really, the artwork is mesmerizing. Did I also say GREAT puzzles and a very soothing soundtrack? In the English version, some dialogue boxes are displayed with weird line breaks, and you run into grammatical errors every now and then, but that's not a huge component of the game, and even so one I can easily overlook. By comparison, this is like a Chinese version of GRIS, which is one of my all-time favorite games. If you like games with quality artwork, just buy this already!

I bought this game on sale for 15 bucks, and I think the price/hour ratio turned out pretty well, since it provided me with 20 hours of entertainment. (Potentially more if at some point I feel like going back to unlock all achievements.) The game is pretty easy up until the penultimate chapter, which I personally enjoyed because I could focus on the story, but you may not if you like constant hard challenges. I am not a big fan of 3D animations or medieval themes in general, but this game got what it took to catch my attention and keep me going. I'd recommend especially if it's your first time trying a game of this genre, since you can die as many times as you want without any penalties. lol

I do not have enough words to praise this game! Every sequence feels like it's straight from a Miyazaki film, and the whole narrative resembles Bildungsromane like Spirited Away. This is truly the best game I've ever played all around (artwork, soundtrack, gameplay experience, difficulty, length/price ratio, meaningfulness of the story, etc.), and I can't help but think that it is very underrated given its unparalleled quality. I'm not even done with the game yet, but what I've seen is enough for me to say I will never forget you, Forgotton Anne!
