This is absolutely the definitive sins experience. It's everything a sequel should be; It has lifted all the greatness from the previous title and added new and interesting mechanics without fundamentally changing the soul of the game.

Pros
- beautiful space battles
- huge fleets
- omg so many QOL improvements for empire and fleet management
- the three races feel much more distinct
- does not grind to a halt in late game (yay new engine)
- runs on a variety of older hardware
- orbital motion makes for more interesting and dynamic gameplay
- great set of tutorials to get familiar with the game

Cons
- could use more graphics settings, though the engine seems flexible enough to run on a potato
- ai art in the tech tree isn't always enough to distinguish what the item is

Great sound design, phenomenal visuals, and enjoyable game play. As others have mentioned, the story is a bit lackluster, but overall, I’ve been having a lot of fun

Probably the most compelling and replayable campaign in any RTS. Space battles are epic and beautiful and the persistent fleet mechanic makes your ships almost like characters
