I didn't think this game would be good. Between Rage, John Carmack leaving Id, and Bethesda not giving out review copies I was ready for this to be a giant turd. I am very happy to report that this is not, in fact, a turd.

Edit: The controls feel good, the glory kills don't feel like they get in the way, the weapons are awesome, the story is passable (it's Doom though, who cares about story?), the monsters are interesting and the combinations of them in fights can get challenging, and to top it all off, it's a beautiful game.
