For me, one of the best Open-World Games i've ever played.

At the Time I played this game, I wasn't really into Open-World Games. The most i've played where kind of boring for my personal taste, after a while. If i could't identify myself in a slightly manner with main charakters or wasn't able to put myself in their position and let me loose on an Open World to explore on my own, I wasn't really motivated.

But Sleeping Dogs worked for me very well for many reasons.
The game tells a story like movies does. There is a kind of mysterious main charakter. Some old friends and relationships (most charakters seemed to be very nice in some ways) and the dark side of the society. I was able to put myself in the position of the main charakter and that was the first solid connection to a Open-World Game I've ever had.

Besides that, I really like the combat style of the game. Rough melee combat, makes the game more reallistic and intense for me (bullets are very unpersonal und "clean" way to kill) but there are some shooting passages in the game aswell, which I enjoyed because it wasn't the only combat style.

I really enjoyed this game. If you grab it on Sale you can't go wrong on this. But this is my personal experience, try it yourself ;)
