As somebody who loved the first game and liked the second this is a step back in every sense.

What you got here is a short, scripted campaign that would be more fitting of a call of duty.
The sheer ammount of invisible walls and appearing vines that stop you from backtracking is atrocious.

There are barely any secrets (a few upgrade token that arent directly placed in your line of sight), swordplay is now only a secondary instead of a full on own weapon and 95% of the fights are taking place in a fenced of arena with waves of enemies. Also trash mobs keep spawning during the fight till you killed all the big enemies. The music is forgettable at best. The environments are nice but are not alone worth it to play the game. It honestly feels like a poor mans Doom.

Huge disappointment...

This is like a husk compared to games like vampire survivors. Only 3 characters and the weapons you can pick up are limited to the character (eg. only one character can get the orbital beam cannon, only 2 characters can get a minigun and so on.) so you cant strive to get that perfect weapons combo. Also theres a max ammount of upgrades you can get per run wich is really annoying

While still being quite rough around the edges, the core gamplay is quite fun.
Running around, finding better gear and eventually going into the high zombie areas like military checkpoints, the prison or the airfield. What i really enjoy is that there arent only these more generic locations but also some places that give of some mystery about what happened here when you explore them. Locations like the patient zero building, laboratory or military railyard.

Overall i enjoyed my time and I can say that the dev is very active in terms of updating the game.

An interesting concept to be sure.
Ill defintely take a look at the full game.

Though personally i would some kind of confirmation that i got a word correct, like the game would lock the word in once i got it right. Otherwise i feel like im second guessing myself all the time.

A fun concept completely destroyed by weird mouth acceleration/smoothing that cant be disabled.
Its a refund till you can that off. (Dev said hes working on in in the forum in Q2 of 2022 so it cant be long now can it?)

Though im still in my first game I can already tell that this is an awesome colony builder.

The artstyle is lovely and the whole premise of having a moving base is something ive been longing for a long time to the point where i tried something similar in rimworld.

Lets hope the game gets even better during EA but I have no qualms recommending it right now.

This is a great open-world game with some small gripes.

The open world is massive, the enemies are varied and original, there is lots to do and some of the effects used are straight up the best ive seen in a long time. Seriously some of these effects that give you creepy/ghost vibes are just perfect. Like upfalling rain when a certain enemy is nearby, zebra crossings and street markings flowing, shadowfigures on walls. The world looks and feels awesome.

My main gripes with the game are that one, the combat does get a little bit stale towards the end, especially if you do lots of the optional stuff and two that some of the optional stuff gets repetitive fast too, like waiting behind a rock before you can approach a kappa.

The story stayed somewhat in the background for me mainly because i spent so much time doing optional stuff that it didnt feel like the story mattered as much. The ending was great though.

So even if you dont like doing lots of busy work, I would recommend this game just for jumping into and experiencing the world and enemies. If you do like lots of busy work then you have even more of a reason to try it out.
