I have seen all the negative reviews for this game but as i got it free i figured hey ill give it a try.

I noticed people with a lot higher spec then my computer have issues with this game with frequent frame rate drops and game killing bugs.

my laptop is apparently below spec as you can see below;

MSI GT70 Dominator
Intel core i7-4710mq @ 2.50 GHZ
8 GB Ram
Nvidea Geforce GTX 970M
Windows 8.1 (I know im just waiting for windows 10 :P )

on the frst 5 minutes of playing it lagged like hell. then i realised there was a nvidea update i should have downloaded hours ago but didnt so i quit and downloaded the graphics update which was specific for nvidea and launched the game and like magic i had every graphics setting on and up to the highest running at just over 60 FPS

i do still have a moment every now and then of a lag spike but they are maybe every half hour and only last shy of a second

Very well written story and overall a decent game! the only downfall and it is pretty major is the combat system which is probably the worst i have played to date. it is playable and you will enjoy this if your going to go through the whole Witcher series one by one and learn the whole story.

if your not interested in first hand learning the back story and you have a decent spec computer than just go for The Witcher 3 ijnstead... It gives you a decent outline of this games story anyway
