Completely unfinished game, it's incredible that the devs thought this was ready for 1.0. They're still giving this game frequent updates (mostly to the dev branch), but the current state of the game is what I'd expect if it had just entered early access, not 1.0. Maybe once the game is actually at the point where it should be released I can recommend it, but hard to say when that'll be considering how much stuff still needs to be fixed. (Also they're still adding major features like new biomes (see dev branch patch notes), So if you play now, you might miss out on core content that should've been included before 1.0

There are so many issues with this game that it's hard to list them all but for starters:
terrible performance (low fps, screen tearing, constant max GPU usage, etc), semi-frequent crashes, no auto-save (and no warning when u exit without saving), lots of glitchy terrain (including in spots where there are things to explore), health/food, water, and oxygen timers feel more like a nuisance than a game mechanic, the only ways to increase difficulty is by making those timers decrease faster, losing items on death, or increasing how long it takes to beat the game (all of which really just make the game more annoying, rather than difficult)

The biggest issue with this game is just that progression is just measured with some numbers that increase faster the more machines u have placed down (along with a few ways to multiply the production of some of the machines), you gradually unlock better tiers of machines, and occasionally new machines, but there's very little new content that gets unlocked that is new and useful/enjoyable, rather than just a better version of something else. It honestly just feels like an idle game if you take away the drones and automation (which would've actually been a cool mechanic if they were unlocked earlier and necessary for progression)

The exploration in this game gets boring very quickly, once you've explored 1 wreck, you've explored them all (and once you actually do explore all of them, you can explore procedurally generated wrecks that are incredibly boring and tedious, but it's the only way to get terratokens at a reasonable rate (a lot are necessary for one of the 3 equally anticlimatic endings). There's a tiny bit of story that is poorly thought-out and isn't interesting at all.

The map itself looks pretty appealing once u get far enough in the terraformation process, which can make exploration a bit more entertaining (not that you're really exporing much at that point). The changes in the map as you progress is one of the few things that I actually thought was done well

Great game, especially if you have a group to play with, I highly recommend using the "performance fix" mod regardless of system specs (when playing with a lot of mods, performance can still be poor)

The source code and issue tracker are both public (I wish more games did this)

Without doubt one of my favorite games I have ever played.
- Being constantly worked on and improved by the devs
- great community and easy to find people to play with with the official discord (or the in-game browser)
- Lots of variety in gameplay, many different viable loadout options to choose from
- Encourages teamwork (although solo is an option, albeit not a very popular one afaik)
- rock and stone

super easy to use, I have a 2650x1440 and a 1920x1080 monitor side by side and they are both the same size, and the scaling worked perfectly.

It's a fun game to play with friends, and I've had a whole lot of fun playing it, but it is by no means polished, almost all calculations are done client side, creating an incredible amount of de-sync. (The game is a lot more fun and less buggy when playing on the same PC)

The steam controller is a great controller. The choice to have a mouspad built in is incredibly useful - it can be used easily for aiming in fps games for navigating through desktop. The controller is somewhat larger and has an awkward size but for me it is very natrual. I have had this controller for almost 3 years and it has had no problems.
