I'm a low to decently skilled player at 8.7 ground realistic battles with 2 tanks, 1 light tank and an anti-air vehicle - WITH premium account and NO premiums. I can BARELY keep my SL positive. The upgrades to my lineup eat up all the profit I make... If I had a premium or two tho.... haha not happening

you need a walkthrough to get the most out of the story in this game, same with the other souls games. otherwise you're just playing a shallow monster killing game with the difficulty cranked up. it does that well though but all the storylines and consequences are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ veiled that it's hard to enjoy without looking at a walkthrough every time you cleared an area...

Coming into this after having played Demon's Souls on PS5.

Design philosophy in Dark Souls is... interesting... You are presented with minibosses that are way too strong for you when you first meet them, seemingly around every second corner, forcing you to having to backtrack back to them, at a later point when you've gotten more powerful, is just.. weird. I know for sure that I won't be doing that if I can avoid it because of 1. the inconvient system of bonfires which don't allow you to teleport(or at least at this point in my game) and 2. if I know I'm way too overpowered compared, then I'm not going to bother to go back, just to 1shot whatever, and then having to travel back to where I left off. It leaves me with a sense of missing out on gameplay.

In Demon's Souls, I felt the game was still more than challenging enough, without having these dumb minibosses around every corner. And the archstone system which allows you to teleport back and forth is way more convenient, especially for things like World Tendency gated areas.

got instakilled(teamkilled) the second i put down the wallcharge by some giga nerd... "GET BACK!" some huge virgin yells after what, a millionth of a second i put down the wall charge? I turn around faster than light and sprint a few meters back. Giganerd is still yelling get back to me and teamkills me because i guess i wasn't fast enough for him? .... also 150 players playing quick play and 0 playing ranked. top 2 dead game ive encountered after 0 players games


Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeefund for me and avoid if u dont want to interact with giganerds

M&B's combat system is just better. I don't know why I have to struggle with comboing a feint into a new attack so much, when it's so easy and intuitive in M&B. Graphics are cool tho, I guess...

The game just doesn't do anything better than M&B, and Mordhau will never be as moddable as M&B is. Literally everything is moddable in M&B.

loaded up this game in 2020(beta 18) and im just wondering how they are developing a game in 2020 that feels and looks and plays like a 2008 mod. amazingly badly made game. props for making such a terrible game

this is my review of squad as a player of PR on and off since 2008.

First of all, the game CANNOT handle 50v50 as they've been advertising on the storepage since 2015(RECENTLY CHANGED HAHA) https://web.archive.org/web/20180423164259/https://store.steampowered.com/app/393380/Squad/. There's never been a 100 player server. Project Reality has 100 player servers though. That's right, a mod to a 2005 game. Squad's servers regularly have periods where everyone's frames dip to sub 10 for like half a minute, and that's with 78-80 player caps... so there you go regarding 50v50 lol.

Environments.... The environments in Squad are probably some of the worst I've ever seen in a videogame. Worse than PUBG. Roads are clipping with the ground, buildings look out of place with ♥♥♥♥ textures and interiors even ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ than in PR. You can also see through walls in PR if you lean into them because for some reason you lean into a 90 degree angle .... 2018 game btw

Player animations, vehicle systems etc are finally at a respectable level in v11 but still not good enough. Supply crates are invisible or something or they don't exist, who knows so that's one tactical element left out of the game(hiding them, making sure they aren't destroyed).

Overall the game is just lacking compared to PR. Hit reg is pretty poor. No horns/music in vehicles, can't pick up downed player's kits... I could go on and on... And this is in v11. The game has been absolute ♥♥♥♥ up until this point. And quality of games are pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ too, probably thanks to twitch streamers bringing their stupid viewers into the game. You will rarely see a squad leader use a BTR or Stryker as a support vehicle in Squad. This wasn't a problem in PR, rarely any kids and if there were they were usually well behaved.

So overall a nice downgrade from PR.
