Very fun spreadsheet simulator. It is somewhat bare bone in terms of historical flavor for most nations, but they still have economical and pops flavor which makes industrializing some nations feels different. The game play itself is also quite solid and can give many hours of fun. That said, the game prevents the player to micro-manage almost all the aspects of the nation and instead provides means to affect several different things through macro-management.

If you like games with fun history, don't buy this game.
If you like games with micromanagement, don't buy this game.
If you like staring at numbers and lines going up, this game definitely offers that.

Crypt of the Necrodancer is an interesting game, which combines two (usually) opposite genres (at least from gameplay paradigm) into one great, addictive masterpiece. It's more like a rhythm game than rogue-like game in the sense that it tends to require us to make a fast, split-second decision instead of slow, long-thought one.

This game is 15% making up battle plans, 20% improvising battle plans according to what happen in the dungeon according to the beats, 25% luck and 40% failing. Actually the game is more about failing and learn from the failed attempts instead of always progressing. Fortunately, the game has great soundtracks which ease off our misery of trying to go to the next level. Truly an act of mercy from the devs.

So, if you love challenging, (kinda) repetitive but fun mission to walk down the stairs while listening to great soundtracks, I really recommend this game for you.
