This was my first time completing a Dragon Age game. I played through most of Inquisition but did not finish it. Overall a great experience. The combat felt very fluid though I think there is room for improvement and refinement of some mechanics. It felt like overall pretty solid action RPG combat and made use of some ideas from the Mass Effect games. Story is well written but admittedly has a couple places that feel lacking for a Bioware game. In the end though I can't complain and it all culminates on a very solid note satisfying even a new person to the game. It doesn't drown you in lore and welcomes new players to it with just enough information but allows you to delve further if you choose. Overall it's not going to shatter records or set a new standard, but it's just a very good fun action RPG with a good story and fun gameplay.

Fantastic game overall. This is my first Bethesda RPG so I'm not comparing it to other franchises like Fallout or Elder Scrolls. 600 hours and I know I didn't see everything there was to see. I have some gripes with parts of the story, some things feel like missed opportunities. I would want to see some significant quality of life changes, some of which I know are already announced to be added. Overall it was just a lot of fun and a really cool experience.

Really well done sequel. When I played the first game I felt like it fell short of what I wanted it to be, but given the trend with Ubisoft sequels I felt it'd do well the next iteration and I wasn't wrong. There's a lot of hipster themes to things but if you can get past that it's a blast to play. Just finished my second playthrough recently and will probably do another down the road.

Great game although the ending fell a little short of what I was expecting. Overall very well done.

Amazing game overall. It's a little aged so the graphics are lacking in some areas, the lip sync for dialogue is way off in some points, and a few other minor problems, but overall it's got a lot to offer. Much of the missions, quests, and random encounters are just found rather than called out outright so it really pushes the exploration aspect. Well worth the price. New game + is a lot of fun and opens up whole new options and customization. Glad it's finally out on PC.

It seems the developers behind this cannot stop making horrible decisions. I think this last one may have finally tipped the scales as I watch them bleeding fans like mad. After over 1,600 hours in game, I really can't do it anymore. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the game but with the decisions being made to do microtransactions for stat boosted weapon skins as the "free" content update for crimefest on top of many other odd bad choices in the past that continue to stain and haunt the game, I can't justify giving them more of my time or money. As another player put it I am clearly no longer their target audience and thus I thank them for the fun times and am out.

Great game overall. It also has the makings of something even greater. The base game can be fun and interesting, has replay value since most survivors and all loot is intelligently randomized, so one time you may find a good medic and a bunch of drunks along with an abundance of heavy firearms. Another you might find mechanics, cooks, and farmers, but nothing but .22 pistols and a random assortment of melee weapons. You might decide to live at different locations or utilize different strategies for survival. Kind of fun to see how different things pan out.

Breakdown DLC takes the normal game but makes it far more challenging. Survive in the same map, then when you've exhausted your resources, move on to a newly repopulated version of the same map taking only supplies and a hand full of survivors, only every time you move on, things get harder. More zombies, more specials, less cars, less resources, less to find all together. Go for as long as you can, or as long as you want.

Lifeline DLC was a bit lacking. Fairly short storyline. You can extend it out but you'd just be doing the same things for longer; surviving sieges on your base as you manage to rescue and evacuate civilians here and there. Map is interesting but small in terms of areas to explore.

Can't wait for the Year One Survival Edition.

Good game but could have been better. Great potential for a sequel since Ubisoft has a record of making an OK first impression but fixing their mistakes and improving vastly as they go. Story is decent though many missions, storyline or side, feel repetative since many of the side mission dynamics are either introduced or over implimented in the main storyline. Overuse of collection and completion objectives, gets tiring after a while. Multiplayer aspects can be fun though doing them also adds to completion and being good at them can unlock things to contribute to the singleplayer campaign which tends to bother me since as a completionist, it requires I play enough to get good at multiplayer in order to get all unlocks. Mini games within the game (which include full games of chess and poker) are also unlocks and can take a fairly long time to complete. Combat is fun, driving and chases with hacking is a blast. Minor use of delays and un-necessary game mechanics to make chases/fights more challenging since they clearly would not be otherwise. Overall the current metascore (which sits currently at 78 for PC) feels accurate. It's good, it's fun, but has lots of room for improvement.
