Doesn't deliver on what was promised (i.e. "gender does not affect gameplay")

This is a borderline AAA game with an injection of modern day societal "issues" which really shouldn't be in an escapist fantasy story. RPG mechanics such as spell selection/progression and character attributes are lacking, and has gone more towards DA2/Diablo-styled mechanics. Gameplay is mildly engaging but nothing to shout about. Writing and dialogue is a borderline pass. Graphics is alright, not too terrible, not too good. I could get into this possibly, but unless there is a way to remove the modern-day ideologies, or allow us to make our own choices (as what the developers touted), there is no way I am changing this to a positive review.

Finally, as for the price tag, it's just not worth the money right now. Maybe get it on 50% off next year, but with such a huge catalog of games on Steam, it would be better to get this game at 80% off 2 to 3 years down the road.

A wonderfully done satirical take on modern military/police operations where magic exists in the world.

Lore is okay-ish (could do better, but its acceptable), but we're here for the wizards armed with M4s and NVGs, and the first mission as the FNG on a ship. Peak COD vibes.

Requiring a PSN account to play this game 3 months after release is a no-go

The vibe is a little off for this, though the concept and execution is good. Difficulty scaling needs to be adjusted given the random/proc-gen nature of the locations, and it's not really a "driving" game, more like a game with decent plot/story plus side mechanics of extraction looters.

It's polished and all, but paywalling the story makes this no different from any other F2P team-based shooters.
Obvious cashgrab is obvious

Needs a little bit more polish on starter tutorials and item descriptions (e.g. waypoint range, etc.), other than that, it's mostly pretty engaging and fun

Not very well polished. I missed 5x shots in a row without any attack dice rolls on screen in the mini scenario. How the heck is that possible?!

Seriously though, beware of motion sickness. I'd recommend this for kids, as there's little incentive for non-casual gamers to play this, other than for nostalgic reasons.

AI really needs work, but other than that, B-grade game overall.
