GTA IV was the defining open world action game for an entire console generation. I took the time to 100% the main game and both DLCs again recently and I don't regret it at all. It's an insanely good deal at the current sale price.

The good:
- Buying this gets you the full game, including both DLC expansions. No microtransactions, no live service nonsense, just a quality single player game.
- The story is fantastic. The whole thing is well-written, and some of the characters are downright hilarious (Cousin Roman in the main game and Yusuf Amir in TBoGT, namely).
- Everything about the gameplay is fun. Driving, combat, even the minigames like bowling and pool have obviously had a lot of thought put into them.
- There is no shortage of things to do. Aside from the main missions, there are plenty of side missions, races, random characters to encounter, and so much more to discover in Liberty City.

The bad:
- The friends who periodically call you to do activities can be a bit annoying, and thankfully this was fixed somewhat for the DLCs. A workaround to avoid lowering your friendship score is to say yes to the activity and immediately call them back and cancel. You also should go bowling with Roman, as it's just part of the experience of playing the game.
- Multiplayer is no longer officially supported. It's apparently possible to get it working, but I have not tried it personally.
- Finding all of the pigeons is a bit tedious. You will want to use a guide for this if you are going for 100%.

Other thoughts
- There are mods that improve the graphics, performance, etc., but as far as I can tell none of them are strictly necessary. You may need to limit the framerate in game using your GPU driver's control panel if you experience physics glitches.

BLUF: Hitman World of Assassination is a top-tier stealth game with an insane amount of content, but a couple of specific drawbacks.

The bad:
IOI has made purchasing this game a confusing process. To keep it simple, if you want the entire game, purchase "Hitman World of Assassination Deluxe Edition". All other versions are missing important content.
To progress in this game, complete challenges, and unlock new items, you have to be online. There is an offline mode, but it is severely limited. I always thought this was a weird choice given that this is a single player game, but that is how it is.

The good:
Basically everything else. Buying the game now (the complete game that is, see above) means that you get, in effect, three entire games worth of content, as it includes all the levels from Hitman and Hitman 2. Every level gives you fun and creative ways to eliminate your targets, and they reward you for playing through multiple times and trying different approaches. This is the best stealth game I have played in recent memory.

This is the best co-op game I have played in a long time. You will have the best experience if you play with a full squad of competent players with voice chat, so grab three of your friends, drop into an alien world, and blow up all of its inhabitants. Don't forget to watch the propaganda videos on the ship's monitor - your undivided attention is mandatory.

If you liked the Genesis-era Sonic games, you'll like this one.

This is an awesome game with an insane amount of content, and the first one in a while that has had me losing sleep because I want to play just a little more of it. The levels are absolutely massive and they reward you for going back and replaying them to try different approaches. And of course, there's something that's just so satisfying about beating someone unconscious with a fish while dressed as a flamingo. I have just two complaints: the way it's listed in Steam is a little confusing (you should buy the Gold Edition and GOTY Legacy Pack to get all the content) and it requires an internet connection at all times even though it's a single player game. Neither of those should be dealbreakers, just weird quirks.
