i wish i could play this game for the first time again -

it's an actual masterpiece. i think this is one of the prettiest pixel games i've ever played.
you really get immersed into the storyline and all the characters, and the story really keeps you on your toes, aching to know what happens next. i really recommend this game to those who are searching for a slice of life, choices matter game that is similar to games like life is strange, a bird story, and etc. the art is one of a kind.

if you like pixel games, great art, and want a good cry, then pick this game up. it's 100% worth it.

People compare this game a lot to the Overcooked Series, but I find that this is more like a mash-up between Overcooked and Diner Dash. Although the concept of Diner Bros is very intriguing, I find that the controls hinders the overall satisfaction one can get from the game. I bought this before when I was looking for local co-op games I could play with my friends and my girlfriend but I find that it is such a hassle playing this with other people. You are required to have an external controller to play this with your friends. Apparently, you can play on one keyboard but you'd need to manually input your binds for each player when you start the game while pressing ALT- which by the way I've tried doing a bunch of times to no avail. Players should be allowed to easily change their binds and controls in the settings yet there is no option to do so. If you're gonna make a local co-op game at least make it easy to play with other people because then that defeats the overall purpose. I wish the developers would allow players to change their binds, as well as allowing two or more people play on one keyboard but I find that they are not very responsive to inquiries. It's very disappointing. I don't think they will ever fix this but if they do then I am willing to change my review.

It's a good game to play when you're bored and just want to relax. DLCs are great, but the developers should focus more on polishing the base game rather than adding more external content. Adding more internal content (furnitures, walls, wallpaper, flooring, etc) would be way better than adding DLCs and I know I'm not just speaking for myself. This game has a lot of potential but if I knew how unpolished this game was, I wouldn't have bought it and bought myself Sims 4 instead. Adding more gameplay would be nice especially with the assembling- clicking and holding gets a bit boring and tiresome after a while.

The gameplay is very repetitive and it does get boring. I'm honestly quite disappointed with what I got. Though I think the whole idea of the game has great potential, it just didn't meet the expectations I had. The graphics are subpar (even on ultra high) and the people in the game look like they were animated in the early 2000s (even if it isn't the focus of the game I think fixing small details like these would really polish the general look overall.) I initially was supposed to buy this on the switch and I'm really glad I didn't (because of the mentioned criticism above). I got this game for about $5 in the steam summer sale and I say that's a good price for what we're getting, but if I had to pay more for how the game is right now then I'd save up for something else. It seems like the developer focuses more on quantity over quality.

I can only recommend this game if the developer ever introduces a huge update to the base game, focusing more on polishing its overall gameplay and look rather than adding more DLCs.

Tbh came for Chloe, stayed for Rachel.

Tragic story. I'm actually quite sad that it ended since LiS 2 won't be following Chloe and Max's story anymore. I got too attached to the characters. I also felt like I related a lot with the protagonist, which inevitably resulted to me being so emotionally invested in the game. The soundtrack was superb and the graphics improved alot when compared to the main game.

I love this game! However, I felt like there were still several questions left unanswered. Imo, felt like this game was too short and some things felt forced as well. I was lowkey hoping i'd shed a lot of tears at the ending but I didn't. (Lmao) My heart just felt really heavy, I felt so bad for Chloe- even though she's just a fictional character.

It's a really good game with relatable characters and a storyline that discusses heavy issues that most teenagers deal with.
It sheds light on topics such as: toxic relationships, lgtbq+, depression, losing someone, and lying. LiS: Before the Storm will make you question your morality.

the game itself was pretty short but it was really eye-opening. it's really informative (won't be detailed because it will spoil the story) just buy the game.

what an emotional rollercoaster
I loved this game. I didn't expect it to touch very sensitive topics, and it really surprised me.
The art was really great for an Indie, RPGMaker.
It talks about how we are as people, life, choices, morality --
And I love how you can choose your own character's race / sexual preference / gender.
This game is heavy and emotional; and it will remain as one of my favorites.
