This is the story of the game.

The combat might look basic and boring but I can assure you, it's not. This game has a very high skill ceiling centered around these 3 weapons: Two-handers, Spears, and One-handers+Shields. These also come in 5 weapon types with their own strengths and weaknesses: Bleeders, Breakers, Duelers, Cutters and War weapons. Now mix them up with focus blocks, dodges, kicks and feints. All of this results in a clash of players warring against each other using different fighting styles to win the battle and to solve the debate .

I have changed this review from negative to positive after the connectivity patches:

MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD is marketed as a multi-player co-op game, but in reality it was a single-player game for a couple of weeks after launch. The game's connection issues have been patched and it's now fully playable online.

This game ages like wine. The developers are pretty much dead, but the community keeps the game running.

Rune Classic is occasionally in a Bundle Stars bundle, so you can grab it for about 3 dollars, if you're looking for a better deal.
