Disclaimer: I did get this game free during a (24 hour?) limited free copy period on steam, I wasn't given a copy of it from the developers, so my review is not biased other than the fact that I had an ejoyable experience at a great value. :p

I really enjoyed this game a lot. There is a lot to choose and a lot to learn about the story. The story is pretty good too. It's sometimes hard to know which is the right choice and makes you feel conflicted and worried that you may have chosen wrongly. However the game as it plays, you always end up back at the beginning of the story, with the gained knowledge which can help you make better choices.

There are multiple endings, two of which complete the game, but only one of those ending with the credits. There are probably more endings that I hadn't yet discovered, I know there are many different paths I have yet to discover too.

If you like choices matter type story games, and hack and slash type games with a skill tree and sword upgrades; I think you would like this game. I rate it high on my list of favorite games. I've just bought Omensight and will begin playing it now...

Like LIMBO, EPIC.

It's creepy and strange. The use of puzzle mechanics is great. I love how they utilize things in very unique and twisted ways. Always something unexpected to blow your mind.

There aso seems to be some secret areas you can explore, and I love that. But I'm pretty sure I didn't find them all, in fact there was one I know I missed because I couldn't find out how to get to it. I don't know if they unlock a new ending or something, I kind of want to go back through and try to find them all.

Solid Platformer
Easy, but it's not the puzzles that make it fun, it's the experience.
If you don't think it's epic, you haven't played through to the end. :)

I didn't get to experience this game. I never made it out of the cell. For whatever reason I couldn't pickup the cell key which happened to be in the cell with me...

Pros
Unknown. Maybe there were some, but I didn't get to experience much of the game.

Cons
- Textures. Poor quality textures.
- Wall and floor clipping. You can easily see on the other side of a wall by rotating the camera. Also the floor and wall tiles, and some part of the wall, you can see overlap and a glitchy flash that happens when the game is trying to show them both in the same spot. The part of the wall where it happens you can clearly see it's where the developer / level designer placed the next section of wall not even paying attention to lining up the wall just right so the textures line up at least.
- Couldn't pickup more than one apple.
- Inventory screen was just a solid wood texture and some white text.
- Walking animations were off. By strafing right, you could see the character actually take steps to the right, however left, he just walks forward, but moves left. Also by pressing either forward or back while moving right, you can change the animation to the forward moving animation while you are still strafing.

Other thoughts...
I can't even say the game has potential. It's not even ready for alpha testers to be honest. It's way too incomplete. I don't think it's ready for Steam early access and I have no idea how it managed to make it. It honestly feels like a 15 year old who's just beginning to learn game design and programming has been working on this for about a week. But of course I never made it out of the cell. In the game videos on Steam I can see that I wouldn't have changed my mind.

To developer(s)
I apologize for being so critical. But you really shouldn't be trying to sell this yet. Get a small group of closed access testers to help you test changes you make and notice things that are not complete. If you have any empathy towards others, you may consider removing it from Steam for a while until it's a lot more complete.

I am disappointed that you allow this content now. Steam used to be a place for quality content only. I liked it that way.

Final thought
I got this game free on indiegala. If you want to give it a try, go ahead and grab yourself a copy while it's still available for free. Also to be fair, remember that I didn't actually get to play much of this, so judge for yourself.

I'm not really into golf. I stay away from them games. But this was free for 24 hours, so I installed it. Not a bad game. I was actually surprised to have enjoyed it since it had a low score in user reviews. I'm puzzled how that could have happened. So I'm leaving my positive review hoping to help bring that score back up.

Don't go in expecting it to be a realistic golf game, it's far from that. It's really just a fun game. It reminds me of several mobile games like it. I didn't find the puzzles difficult at all. In fact I found easy ways around most of the obsticles anyway heh.

The controls aren't bad either, I figure them out and felt confortable with them right after the first tutorial.

I really liked the art style and graphics. It looks really nice and reminds me of Bioshock. Admitedly the walking part could use some improvement, mainly on the character model. But eh, I could care less about that part.

Very clever and creative. It's a great platformer that rivals the best current platformers. This one has a unique main theme, and that is to control liquids and inventions that are somewhere between liquids and living organisms. It's a sort of a sci-fi science experiment theme. It has great music that changes with success or failure.

I totally recommend this game. I don't write reviews often, but for this game, I felt compelled to.

Not a bad game for the price. You get more than you pay for. Even at full non-sale price. The soundtrack is the highlight of the game. But the gameplay isn't bad. I actually enjoyed the gameplay too. After playing, go to the music section in Steam to play the OST. :)

Evoland is a retro inspired game with lots of references to old games. Some things to make you laugh, others to bring back fond memories.

At first it may look a little old and stale, of course because that's the way it's intended to look when you first start the game. But it's like DLC quest in the way you unlock game features. For example, being able to travel back and forth in time to complete puzzles or 3d mode. The game becomes very visually pleasing once you unlock a lot of the game modes that change the appearance.

Give this a try for sure. It's well worth it and your time. I'm sure you'll find yourself hours later wondering where the time went.

For the gamers out there that love older games, if you've never played this one, you have missed out on one of the best classics ever. But now it's on Steam! Woot. I just got it and i'm ready to relive some memories... "my tuba"! (actually "matsuba")

Not a bad game. It's a nice platformer with some rpg elements. I say get it if you aren't turned off by it's graphics and the childish theme. The gameplay is fun, and that's what matters to me.

I wasn't a Bioshock fan before this one, but I was blown away by how good this is. This game is well worth the money. I don't think I've been moved by a game this much in a long time.
