Ty [JPF] Mx, I appreciate the info and will put it to good use.
Eclipse & mactx, I appreciate it. People are being way too snobby about it. I remember when everyone was begging for controller support in games and that includes hardcore stuff like CS GO. It's just kids thinking they are somehow better because they only use MKB.
Well screw that lol. I'll use it for certain games otherwise I wouldn't have spent $200 on the stupid cycon (I think) Couchmaster 2. It's just 2 foam pads that sit beside you and a big flat piece of plastic with a USB hub inside that lays on top. It definitely gets the job done and is comfortable to use but usually I'm just looking to relax and have fun so I prefer controller.
PC gaming has always ALWAYS been about choice whether it's game mods, controller, MKB, a racing wheel... Whatever. There is no wrong way, there is no right way. There is only the freedom to choose
@Gray Fox, I hear yah. I have my PC in my living room and also sometimes just wanna chill and use a controller. I have this thing called the Couchmaster which makes couch MKB play easy but... It goes back to the sometimes I just wanna relax and I find it easier to do with a controller.
I pretty much ask for native controller support in every game I have interest in. It's the first thing I do in the forum before wishlisting. If the dev says no plans I'm less likely to buy.
So I'll keep asking and anyone else who wants support should too but I have 1 piece of advice and it's simple. Before making a new topic to ask just search the forum and see if there is one or more already. I usually just search "controller" and pick the biggest topic with the most posts to bump up and if there isn't one yet then I'll make one.
Allot of people will either tell you to use steam input (controller emulation that I personally don't like) or tell you that it's PC and use MKB.
For the 2nd group... Remind them that PC gaming is and always has been about freedom and choice. Your choice not theirs. You can even explain why if you want. I often do simply in hopes the developers will see it and consider it. Usually early access games made by a small team or 1 person are the games that don't start with support.
Then when I get a dev response I let them know that when controller support is added they will have my sale but not before (that not before depends on the game) and more often than not i end up seeing it added.
