Overall it has the potential to be better than World/Iceborne, but not at the time of this review. They fixed many issues with the first title update and added some actually challenging(not really hard) monsters. The addition of the grand hub added the finishing touch the game needed.

The Major Issues:

Performance: Game still runs aweful, period. Nobody should need more than a current gen mid tier card to run a game like this at acceptable performance. They tried using framegen to make up for low framerate, but that's more used to make high framerates better.

Content: Still leaves something to be desired but the new monsters hit a nice spot, for now.

Game Play: Not as engaging as persona or SMT to be honest, but they have something interesting going with the archtype system. Uses the press turn system like SMT with the archtype system to sprinkle a little persona in there. Ends up being a jack of all trades but master of none and doesn't feel different enough to set itself a part.

Sound: Most people like the music and i'll admit it has some really good tracks(Gauntlet Runner Night) but it'll definitely be hit or miss for a lot of people. Not really up to par with persona 5 or any of the SMT games OST though.

Graphics: Fidelity itself is nothing special and the game wants to make my computer fly through the roof with fan speeds. The aesethic and visuals of the world itself are very original and look amazing. Many parts of the game just seem like the concept artist wet dream and really adds a sense of adventure.

Story: It's above average. Fairly standard JRPG story with a few interesting twists, but otherwise nothing too mind blowing. The game goes over a bunch of political-lite themes but doesn't really push any hard messages. Lastly you don't really have any autonomy over the story and what little you do have results in a game over.

Overall: 7/10. Honestly like a lot of what they "tried" to do but it fell short for me. Definitely still a good game though. Looking forward to how they'll refine this if they plan to make it a series.

7/10
A solid little shooter taking homage from games like marathon and doom. The tactical reload makes every gun feel different and fun, but it can be a bit much when the game throws a dozens enemies at you at once. Despite that, the music is pretty nice and the visuals are basic but awesome. Steer clear if you don't like gore because there's a lot of it. Game isn't very hard once you start getting more power ups, but there's a few spikes in the beginning. Altogether a good game for a good price.

It sales itself as a similar to sekiro and that's what it essentially is- a metroidvania sekiro like. The game is 2d and it doesn't have the nice feedback of deathblows and polish like sekiro has, but what is there for combat is really well made. Be warned the game gets very challenging later on, but the bosses are fun enough as to not get frustrating. Story is very competent and the visuals and music are pretty damn good to boot. 8/10 overall. The exploration is kind of week but you can tell it's more combat focused.

This game is straight up one of Miyazakis' love children and is one of the best games of it's generation. While does have some rough spots, like the chained ogre and bad camera angles, it is overall flawless in every other aspect. The visuals start off fairly typical old japan and blossoms into awesome fantasy later on. The music is absolutely amazing at every part of the game. Lastly the combat is a fresh step away from souls games and arguably even better in my opinion. 10/10 a near perfect game with only a few minor flaws.

Six bucks for this is good value. Game is only a few hours long, but it's a solid platforming experience with basic combat. The movement is very good and calls back to games like Mario 64 with all the hidden movement techniques. The music is catchy and the visual aesthetic is similar to that of an N64 game. 8/10

9/10.
Excellent atmosphere and sound design make it very immersive. The game play has a surprising amount of depth and I was still learning new things even up until the end of the game. The story is more of a mystery but it was a pleasant and anxiety inducing ride the whole way. Once you know all the tricks the game kind of plays like what a horror-themed version of Home Alone would play like.

I love the etrian odyssey series to death but there is no universe in which i'll ever pay forty dollars for this singular game. It's not that the quality isn't there, but the games themselves simply don't have wide enough appeal and the quality of production simply doesn't match the price. Call me when they give these the persona 5 treatment in terms of polish and i'll consider forty bucks. Otherwise buy this on a sale. It is genuinely one of the best dungeon blobbers you can get though and a fantastic JRPG so I would recommend it: just not at the base price.

Early Access Review
Excellent value for ten dollars, though it only has two real dungeons so far. The classes are basic but play fairly different as to not get stale. The overall ascetic of the game is early 2000s MMO or PS2 vibes which is nice, but the most amazing things about this game: The sliders in character creation. Bethesda take notes because "this" is how you do character creation. Music is ass but some tracks are OK. 6/10 right now, but it's still early access and more classes and dungeons are planned.

Like Terraria in many ways, but still unique enough to keep it fresh. You get access to automation later on that takes out a lot of ore grinding and the base building and crafting are satisfying. Character progression consists of skill points and talent leveling outside of gear but you can easily beat all the content before you ever max any of them. The pixel art and usage of lighting are pretty impressive as well. Lastly, the sound effects are satisfying and the music is very comfy. Pretty good game.
