This was the most broken mess of a beta version of a game I have ever played. Micro-transactions seemed to be functional tho

This is what all roguelikes should strive to be. There is so much content even without any DLC and there is so much to get into. This game is fantastic and for anyone looking to get the game, I would try to go in as blind as possible and maybe use the wiki if you are really unsure of the meaning of something. Fantastic game.

Early Access Review
Found this game at PAX and played the demo while talking to the dev (super nice guy). I don't know if I would have ever been inclined to check out this game if not for PAX, but man this game rules. Both playable characters offer very different gameplay experiences, similar to Zero and X from Megaman. Both are very fun in my opinion.

One of the most replayable roguelikes I have ever played.
The randomized and user created elements keep things fresh like always, you'll spot repeating chunks, but it never really bothered me or gave me gameplay issues. One criticism I do have is that some of the verified community chosen chunks are needlessly lengthy and/or are far too difficult, sometimes requiring precise momentum walljumps that are nearly frame perfect to pull off. I understand that they're well designed so they have every right to be verified and put in the game, but maybe they should be into an "expert chunks" category that the player can choose to play with.

Back on a positive note.
Despite this game being in alpha, it really does not feel like it is. I have encountered VERY few bugs, and far less than a new AAA title. There is so much content, and I am super super excited for full release if this is alpha. The momentum feels super smooth and you can really feel cool just running through levels at full speed. All of the enemies are designed really well and really fit each of the 8 level themes really well. The tiling and pixel art for each stage (especially the computer one) is really amazing.

So far, huge fan of this game! imo worth the price point, but def get if on sale

TL;DR
If you are a fan of Megaman and/or rogulike games, you should really check this game out.

Incredibly smooth good fighting game. A review would not give justice as to how good this game is. I met the developer Dan Fornace at PAX one year and he was the chillest guy on the planet, game is a ton of fun with or without friends. Check it out.

This game is fun at time, but when it's not fun, it really stings. It's up to the killer to decide how much fun the survivors can have and this really shouldn't be the case as there are a lot of very toxic people in this game that just make the game not fun.
Although I do recommend this game, I wouldn't recommend you choose it to be your main game, because the more and more time you sink into it, the more and more you see the flaws in design and balancing. This would be a very good game if there was a large amount of balancing done to make the survivors and killers even. The perk "No One Escapes Death" for killers and "Decisive Strike" for survivors make the game unbalanced and unpolished for both sides, and although they make new characters with new perks and all that, they don't get used half the time and the same meta remains (most of the time).

Overall TL;DR: Fun as a party game with your friends for like a few hours, don't sink your teeth too far in

This game has clearly had so much effort poured into it, it's incredible. The graphics and visuals of this game are astounding and the controls feel fluent and perfect. The only thing I would change is the amount of curency needed for chacter skins. If you do not already own the game, what are you doing?

The reason I bought this game was because I saw Alpharad playing it and I thought it would be funny to have my friends try it. It was not worth the money AT ALL! Recently I believe they also shut down the servers so you can't even really get past the title screen. For the rest of the review I'll you tell you what it was like not what it is like. The game is poorly done, cash grab, terrible ripoff of Mario Maker for the Nintendo Wii U, before you even get into the gameplay the menu screens where bad. While playing any level they had a difficulty level, 1 (Way too easy), 2 (Stupid Hidden blocks and entrances), and level 3 (impossible), and the system is so bad, there are only about 5 or 6 level 3 levels (More than half are done by the devs) and so it's way to hard to get that rank on a level. Unless you do some sort of hidden item or block trick there is no way that a level will get level 2 either. Most of the levels are level 1.
The main character steals most of his assets from Mario, he even has Mario's trademark triple jump. The game was terrible to control too, as it feels like every level, is an ice level. If you're playing on a keyboard then the buttons are too far apart to feel fluent and there is no keybinds at all. It says on the page of this game that there is partial support for controllers and that's because in building mode you have to use a mouse, which completely ruins imersion and flow for controller players. From what I can remember about using a controller (I usually used keyboard), the inputs were extremely delayed and not very responsive. Overall the game just didn't really control very well, even while building a level. I definitely do NOT reccomend buying this game it isn't even worth $5.99 especially because the servers aren't even up anymore, which mean you can't even play the game just stare longingly at the title screen.
